I'm really looking forward to this conversation with Ben Sewell on Sunday.
As a kid growing up with arthritis in the early 90s, seemingly spending all my school holidays either on a hospital ward or in a wheelchair, I felt like the only young person with arthritis in the world.
Furthermore, nobody asked my parents how they were doing or what they needed, when, given distance and lack of transport, they could go days without being able to visit with three other young children at home.
These stories—the wider impact and burden of disease—are exactly why I do this with my Sundays. 💜
