The day, I lost my home, my shield, my Everything ♥️😭… my Papa.
People's say when your father dies,
you don’t just lose a person –
you lose your roof against every storm.
The world keeps moving,
but for a daughter, time stops on that date🥺💔

The poets say you sink one step deeper into the earth,
because suddenly you have to stand stronger,
even when your knees are shaking.
People see a “brave eldest daughter”,
but they don’t see the tears that fall in silence at night.

The French say you become your own father –
and that’s my reality now.
I sign the papers, take the decisions,
wipe everyone’s tears and still go to college,
pretending everything is normal.The Indian say he comes back as thunder –
and I feel that in every breakdown,
when life hits me again and again,
reminding me I have no one to hide behind anymore.

The Russian say he takes your childhood with him –
and yes, a part of my childish smile
was buried with my Papa that day.
From that moment, I wasn’t “just a daughter” anymore,
I became the warrior of the house.

To every girl who lost her father:
We know how it feels to be strong when you’re tired,
to fight battles you never chose,
to act okay so your family doesn’t fall apart.
We are carrying our fathers inside us,
in every “I’ll handle it”,
in every exam we clear,
in every tear we quietly wipe away.
When life hurt you,
remember the love,
but don’t forget the hurt that made you this strong.

I’m still that little girl calling out “Papa”,
just to the sky now.
