We're Karin and Jeremy, just your average married couple with a passion for travel! We're not digital nomads, we have regular full time jobs! When we travel, we go mid-range. That means we always look for a good deal, but we're not necessarily backpacking or taking luxury flights all the time. We've traveled to over 25 countries around the world and we've got a long way to go! Some of our favorite adventures include van life in Norway, street food in Japan, visiting European Christmas markets, road tripping around Iceland, and exploring the incredible countries in the Balkans! It’s time for a Minnesota State Fair confession 🙈
We go to the fair multiple times a year (what can we say, we love it!) and even though we like to try the new foods, we still have our fair favorites. You know, those classics that you have to get every year or it just doesn’t feel like you’ve gone to the fair? For us, that’s always a pronto pup, footlong hot dog, Mouth Trap cheese curds, and a bucket of cookies from Sweet Martha’s. But there are so many iconic fair foods that we have surprisingly NEVER tried before. Foods with loyal followings that people get every single year!
Today, we’re changing that! In our newest video, we’re tasting 10 legendary fair classics for the VERY FIRST TIME! Including the Gizmo, CinnieSmiths mini cinnamon rolls, Que Viet Concession’s giant egg roll on a stick, and of course the famous cream puff (plus a few others)! Did we find a new annual must-have? We’re taking you along for the ride on a whirlwind one-day itinerary through Italy’s design capital: Milan. We’re packing the day with centuries of history at the jaw-dropping Milan Duomo, wandering the stunning glass arches of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II (and enjoying some epic views from our hotel), hitting up the massive Starbucks Reserve Roastery for lunch, doing a bit of shopping, and capping off the day with the perfect grab-n-go street food dinner: a piadina!
We tried to squeeze in as much as we could, but 24 hours in Milan means making some tough choices and there were a few things we couldn’t see or do (but now we have an excuse to go back). The 2026 Minnesota State Fair New Foods list just dropped this morning!
There are 36 official new foods and 9 new vendors and they've come up with some really creative creations, like a dill pickle cookie and a Dubai Whoopie Pie, just to name a couple. We're planning our visit to the fair to try all these new foods, and we're so excited that we just want to keep the fun going!
