'DRIVE' FT. INGRID WITT - OUT NOW!
So happy to share the second single from my forthcoming album 'Sad Girl’ coming via @ninjatune on Sept 27th.
This track has huge personal meaning to me, it’s about escapism and getting far away from the place that I grew up in. Leaving all that you once knew in the search for new beginnings. I felt a huge sense of nostalgia when writing this and wanted to encompass that feeling in the production, I added live strings and took inspiration from Massive Attack’s ‘Unfinished Sympathy’ who were a huge driver in my search for something new and inspiring.
I fell in love with Ingrid Witt’s voice a while back - her vocals to me are like Robyn meets Kate Bush and she helps to portray that journey I was on so well. She’s fiercely independent and her voice & writing really excite me.
This one is a personal favourite of mine on the album and it means so much to finally be able share it with you 💌
