2026 is the year of the Fire Horse. My sign, the Wooden Rat happens to be on the least luckiest end of this year's playout. Thats okay, cant win em all. When times get tough, keep grinding, keep being gracious, always maintain good sportsmanship. I remember as a kid watching my big brother play baseball and nomatter how crazy things got on the field at the end both teams closed out the night with a team jog in line to still high five the opposite team. We seem to have lost that. Try always to look at the bigger picture.

The last time the planets and stars aligned like this, the Industrial Revolution happened. We are entering the Orbital age. Technology is rapidly advancing. This is a big time in history for humanity. Dont lose yours! There are so many good people out there. Hope is not lost~

Typed Banana Chair . . . Got these? 🍌🪑🎮

The correct term is Banana Rocker. My bad. That Donkey Kong lookin' bean bag is pretty sweet though. And blow up furniture had its proper run and is trying hard to make a comeback. The biggest FOMO shopping moment of the year was passing up a pair, in mint condition, of 90s cheesy floral pattern banana chairs at the thrift shop. Had one as a kid and played the N64 on it for hours, because back then, controllers were corded and you parked your butt on the floor 5 feet away from the tv, that was the best angle to play from and instead of rage quitting you could just throw yourself backwards and stare up at the ceiling fan til you remembered you were going to eat a couple hours ago or do that one chore or whatever.

Squishmallows paired up with Ulta to make perfume! Thats fancy of them, figured they'd do cheesy cheap body sprays or something but no! They have adorable glass bottles with vintage atomizer sprayers! Purple is clean, yellow is vanilla gourmandy, and pink is fruity bubble gum bubble bath like.

Bubble bath got popular in the 1930s but dates back to the 1300s. Mr. Bubble to this day remains the most beloved and popular brand in its iconic pink bottle. Started in 1961 as soap flakes, then in the 70s became solely liquid form. They and Avon made iconic character themed bottles that a lot of us opened on Christmas! Seemed like every bathroom used to have a giant Little Mermaid or Lion King bottle in the corner of the tub. We had one house with a purple bathtub growing up, and a matching lavender pedestal sink! Seems colorful bathroom fixtures are nearly extinct now. Who knows? Maybe pink toilets will make a comeback?

When did fidget spinners get so fancy!? When I was kid, we didn't have official "fidget" toys, everything just was a fidget gadget! Tire pressure gauge or the ratchet in the truck door, the unwanted lipstick case from Avon in the bottom of a purse, open, close, twist up, cap off, cap on, spin it like a top on the counter! Mechanical pencils, click click, try to pull the led out in one piece without it breaking then reload up top, eraser capped!

Our brains associate clicking with rewards, therefore we get a major hit of oxytocin from them. Probably why computers and video games took over the world as quickly as they did. You can walk around with a keychain of a 10 key keyboard in your pocket if you just need that satisfying hit of imaginary typing on the fly.

That pink Energizer Bunny used to be everywhere, particularly that flashlight! Swear every house had one, funny looking at the packaging, says it was an As Seen On TV product. I genuinely believed he just drum marched straight off the tv into everybody's living room. 🥁 🔦

I miss those days, but I dont miss the weight and price of having to buy and carry backup batteries all the time. I had an original Gameboy, it was a double AA incinerator! So were all the goofy lighting accessories they later sold for them since the screens didnt light up and they made this terrible reflective glare. We're so lucky we can charge things now. When we got our 1st Wii we bought all rechargable AA's since the balance board alone took 4. Best decision ever! 10 years later they still work! I need to get a cheap tester for the house, last 9v we bought for the chirping bird of the ceiling was DOA. Not funny when you gotta truck in the big ladder to change it,, twice.

Anyhoo! Happy shopping, even though these prices make us all sick. Dont forget the batteries! 🎄🔋

Who remembers bubble pipes!?! 🌬🫧

Those and the little bird warbler whistles were so fun! "Bubble Pipe Stripe" Garbage Pail Kids card! Pretty sure they made a GPK Sega game? We'll find it and explore it soon, I remember the whole theme was about the gum. Topps chewing gum company was started in 1938 and by the 50s in a stroke of genius they started selling collector cards with their gum. They have done many cool marketing ploys over the years including Bazooka's comics, stickers, and rewards systems to cash in on clever prizes. 🍬

There are some great deals at this time on some classic blades (on Amazon). The Mini Militaw is down to $25 (the green model only) & the Superlocks are going for $70. I didnt realize how cool the new Vosteed Corgi lock is! Might have to aquire and research that one in person, for science! Or something? ☃️🔪🔬

How did my 🧠 ever forget about carnival mirrors? 🤯🎢🎡

These used to be everywhere! Maybe the worst possible prize to get stuck carrying around at a fair, a glass mirror in these not so stable cardboard frames, they were usually bands but my favorite knuckleheads had they're own! This rules! 🤘

That Tenable Fenrir is lookin mighty tempting. Its like a car wrap where they stretched the flat design of the front of a NES accross a curved surface? A lil mind bending but awesome at the same time. I'm just amped to see these knife brands hop on the arcade theme, its like having 2 favorite hobbies bestie up, but with a hardcore twist. 🎮🔪🕹🪙up!

And seriously, Binaca drops, $75? I was always a mints weirdo. When other kids would choose chocolate or gum, I had my roll of Wintergreen Certs to gnosh on. But I promise I'm not actively seeking these Binaca listings. You type something one time into the ebay search and bam, every visit its pushing expired 1992 aerosol cans of mint juice at you! Wild! 🍃
