I want to thank everyone who watched yesterdays video!

I'm happy to say that despite my worries, the video performed as well as my recent uploads! I was also met with a looooooot of positive comments, convincing me that this format is the way forward for my channel. I'm going to of course need to experiment further and expand on it for games that aren't nearly as feature heavy as Tectonic, but I think the payoff for both myself and all of you watching is infinitely better than continuing down the path of making a top 5 almost every week.

Don't worry, I won't be abandoning the best of the month series, that will still continue for as long as I make content for this channel. I'm also still going to do multi-review videos every now and then for games that aren't long/good enough for the 11-13 minute length I want to start maintaining (youtube's algorithm seems to work better when I keep my video lengths consistent).

But again, thank you all so much for continuing to watch my videos. This most recent one taught me how capable I am of making entertaining content when I don't hold myself back, and I'm going to use that to my advantage for all my future content.

Tomorrow's video is a little different. Take the "little" part with a grain of salt, because I'm still reviewing a Pokemon fan project, nothing about that on my channel is what I'm trying to change.

This time though, I wanted to take a bit more of a "genuine" approach. I wanted to focus more on discussing my personal experiences with the game, rather than just listing off it's features in the most "get to the point" way possible.

It's definitely the most fun I've had making a video in recent time, and for the first half, probably the most proud I've ever been with how I chose to narrate and construct one. (not that the second half is bad, I just came down with a sickness, and couldn't manage to get my voice to sound exactly how I wanted it to)

Anyways, I hope you'll give it a watch, and even let me know what you think!

Tomorrow I'll be releasing the Best Fangames/ROM-hacks of January 2026, so I hope you look forward to that!

But next week, I'm going to try something a bit different. Don't worry, I won't be moving anywhere away from Pokemon fan projects, instead I want to take a different approach to covering or reviewing them.

I think as exciting as they are, multi-showcase/"top 5" videos can often get repetitive to both make or even watch.

I'll still be putting one of those out at least twice a month, and the best of the month series isn't going anywhere. But for the sake of the channel, I can't see a future where I continue to upload the same style of video every single week.

I spent some time in these last two weeks thinking about how I want to improve my content in 2026. So going forward, I'll be spending more time during each segment voicing my personal opinions about the projects core aspects (gameplay, qol, story, etc.) with a dedicated score for each. Of course, this will be more of an opinion based score for fun, rather than an objective judgement.
