Hey all, I apologize for the delay in uploads. Been busy with life and currently going thru a creative block. Still working hard to bring you new music and videos!
In the next couple of days, I will be changing the channel name and image. It will be called Téps. I'm preparing some uploads but to give myself more time, I will be posting some old drafts and vids that couldn't be posted in the past. Thanks for staying with me after all these years!
It's been 5 long years! First, I do apologize the long absence. Life had reached a tough point where I couldn't focus in any way on creative production. I had started this channel together with my best friend at the time on a whim. A whim of "what if we made videos like Godsconnect but make it more cinematic?". Couple that with severe depression, Unorthodox was born.
We both worked together, tossing ideas back n forth which created many of the amazing and quirky videos we have posted. However, in between the absence, I have decided to go solo. My personal vision of what I would like to create but contribute to the music scene, and specifically hip-hop has changed. The goal for this channel was always to provide a cinematic display of hip-hop beyond the usual crime scenes and promotions of drugs, s*x, and money. The soundscape of hip-hop has always been more than just that and I want to continue showing that. At the same time, we also wanted to have fun and just throw some random things together like a Tuamie beat on top of Men in Black II and etc.
Before I make a true return, I would like to know if you all would want to see more posts from this channel or would like to see future content on a new channel? If this channel continues, it will go thru a name change(if possible, I've been gone awhile and dunno if Youtube allows that) and alot of thumbnail/title changes to show who edited which videos between me and my friend Katu. I want his work recognized regardless of what happens to this channel. He's still alive btw, it's just the bond has changed over the years.
