GRIEF AND LIGHT™️

So your grief isn’t as heavy as it once was. Now what?

Join us for a candid, multi-voice conversation exploring what it means to live fully after loss.

🗓️ JUNE 24
⌚️ 1:00-2:15 PM PT • 4:00-5:15 PM ET
💜 Beyond Grief: a Roundtable on Living Fully After Loss
In collaboration with ‪@letsreimagine‬
💻 Live on ZOOM
🎟️ RSVP Required

ℹ️ letsreimagine.org/76768/beyond-grief-a-roundtable-…

This roundtable makes space for what comes after the initial sorrow that follows loss and life-altering change, when life begins to expand again, often in unexpected ways.

Together ‪@griefandlight‬ ‪@getgriefymag‬ ‪@blairfromblairland‬ ‪@lifewithgriefpodcast‬ @lifewithim, grief and resilience leaders, podcasters, and grief-informed creators explore meaning-making, post-traumatic growth, and the nuanced reality of carrying grief while also reclaiming joy, purpose, and possibility.

This is the conversation for everyone who needs to know grief shifts, that joy and aliveness are possible, and for everyone who’s arrived at ‘lighter’ and isn’t sure what to do with that.

Rather than framing this as “moving on,” the conversation centers the complexity of living in the both/and, where grief remains, but no longer defines every moment.

Speakers will share personal and professional insights on post-traumatic growth, identity reconstruction, and the ways life can expand after loss without abandoning love for who or what was lost.

We’d love for you to join us!

💜 Nina

GRIEF AND LIGHT™️

April 10th is World Siblings Day 💞

But did you know this day was born from grief?

The Siblings Day Foundation was founded in 1995 to recognize, honor, and celebrate the special bond between siblings.

Claudia Evart founded National Siblings Day and formed Siblings Day Foundation (SDF) as a tribute to her only siblings, Alan and Lisette. Lisette’s birthday (April 10th) was chosen as Siblings Day.

This day follows the spirit of Mother’s and Father’s Day, as an uplifting celebration honoring the people who have shaped us.

SDF also seeks to unite and reunite siblings who may be separated by distance, by circumstance, birth and adoption, or estrangement.

To those who have lost their sibling(s), I see you.

I hold you in my heart.

We’re in this together.

Let’s talk about legacy, specifically, what it looks like when you’re a childfree or childless woman.

I’m honored to be featured in Issue 8 of Get Griefy Magazine—THE WOMEN’S ISSUE— launching MARCH 20.

This issue brings together brave women shining light on the harder, often unspoken parts of womanhood.

When we speak up and share our stories, we realize we are not alone.

I’m proud to be included in these pages alongside fascinating women bravely sharing their voices and experiences.

To accompany the article, I also recorded a special episode of the @griefandlight Podcast, airing the same day.

Issue 8 of GET GRIEFY MAGAZINE will be available FREE digitally, with print copies available on demand via Amazon.

GRIEF AND LIGHT™️

We are officially… EAR WORTHY 🎧🎉

The @griefandlight podcast just received a meaningful recognition from podcast journalist, Frank Racioppi of @earworthy141 , and moments like this remind me of my why.

Frank’s words feel like a gift, and I’m grateful for the way he describes the heart of this work and the community we’ve built together.

I pulled a few of my favorite lines from his article in this post.

I hope you take a moment to read the full article here:

Being an indie podcaster (creator, producer, marketer, all the things) holding space for conversations of life’s hardest moments is not easy, but it’s something I’ve felt called to do, and it fills my heart with gratitude to know it’s making an impact.

One story shared honestly and held with care can illuminate a path forward for someone else finding their way through the dark.

Grief can be a heavy subject.

My intention is always to humanize it.

To reflect what it sounds, looks, and feels like to meet people exactly where they are, without masks, and in their most honest and vulnerable form, held with reverence and truth.

We’re truly in this together.

GRIEF AND LIGHT™️

“To understand grief (and life), to really understand it, we need to think, to feel, to hold opposing truths in our mind-body-spirit at the same time.

We need to sit with the sentence for longer than three seconds.

We need to be willing to be changed by the radical acceptance of what is, as it is.

We need to learn to embrace the both/and of life.” — Resting Grief Face | a Sub•stack by ‪@griefandlight‬

Stories shared through podcasts can become a lifeline for those living with profound loss.

This virtual gathering will bring together podcast creators and hosts who speak candidly about grief, identity, and personal transformation following life-altering change.

We’ll explore the unique healing power of sharing and hearing grief stories, particularly how podcasts help normalize conversations around loss, expand grief literacy, disrupt the grief-avoidant narratives that dominate our culture, and offer a sense of companionship, validation, and guidance for those navigating life after loss.

In addition to exploring the personal and cultural impact of grief storytelling, we’ll also dedicate space to those who feel called to share their own story through podcasting. Panelists will offer insights on how to launch a self-published podcast, handle emotionally charged conversations with care, and build a platform rooted in integrity, intimacy, and healing.

Whether you’re a devoted listener or a potential future host, this conversation will meet you where you are, and help you imagine what’s possible when we give grief a voice.

GRIEF AND LIGHT™️

"We have some major breaking news…”

And just like that, the quiet spaces of our days are filled with the cacophony of alerts and headlines. It’s too much.

The uncertainty is real, so is the grief.

So how do we stay anchored in unprecedented times?

I wrote about it in this week’s Resting Grief Face ⤵️
