Our software 'SMA G-survey' offers a one-month trial period when first installing the app on an Android device.
Customers need to provide photos of the nameplate on the back of the collector and a photo of the "Project->About Software" interface in the surveying app.
One registration code can only be used on one Android device and cannot be used on two or more devices simultaneously. The registration code can be transferred to other Android devices via "Transfer Out Code," but frequent transfers are not recommended.
Formatting the collector will invalidate the registration code. Before formatting, please transfer the registration code. Clicking "Transfer Out Code" will display a registration code (QR code). Take a screenshot and save it. Then, scan the registration code (QR code) in "Software Activation" to register. Once the QR code is successfully scanned, it will be invalid the next time it is scanned.
The successful registration screen will display "Expiration Date: 2999-12-31."

CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station) is a network composed of multiple fixed reference stations that continuously collects satellite signal data and broadcasts positioning correction information in real time through the network. 2. Working principle of SMA20RTK and CORS
Step 1: Connect to the CORS network
Hardware requirements: SMA20RTK collector supports mobile network (4G) and Wi-Fi to receive CORS data.

Protocol support: Usually the NTRIP (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol) protocol is used to access the CORS service.

Configuration parameters: Users need to enter the following provided by the CORS service provider:

Why need site Calibration?
RTK surveying is a method of obtaining relative position through carrier phase technology. Whether the 1+1 method is used to obtain correction data from the base station through radio or network, or the CORS service is connected to obtain observation data from the VRS virtual base station, the coordinates of the rover are related to the base station coordinate value or the CORS station coordinate value. Therefore, if you switch to connect to different base stations or different CORS services, the same point will get different coordinate values. In order to make the coordinate system in the area consistent with the coordinate system of the external control point, or to unify the two coordinate systems in the area, point calibration is required.

How to perform site Calibration?
To perform point calibration, you need the coordinates of points in the target system and the current system. The coordinates in the target system can be those of known control points or imported coordinates in the target system. The coordinates in the current system can be directly obtained through RTK surveying.
It is generally recommended to select at least 3 points and obtain the coordinates of these points in the target system and the current system for calibration.

When selecting points for field calibration, it is best to distribute the points around the edges of the work area so that the points control the entire area. And try to avoid multiple points on a straight line.
