Family, I want to share something personal with you tonight.

This week my uncle, Bishop D. Johnson, transitioned. Anyone who has ever lost someone close knows how heavy that can feel. It slows you down. It makes you reflect. It makes you sit with memories, voices, laughter, lessons.

And yet… in the middle of grief, purpose was still calling my name.

I didn’t feel like working.
I didn’t feel like building.
I didn’t feel like creating links.

But I did it anyway.

I pressed through and created the links for the Virtual Networking Event.
I created the link for the In-Person Networking Event.
I set up the Vendor Table registration.

Not because I’m superhuman.
Not because it didn’t hurt.
But because vision doesn’t pause just because life gets heavy.

There are still a few things I need to finish — the Social Media Trainings link and the Auditions for the stage play — and I’ll get those done too. One step at a time.

What I’m learning in this season is this:

Grief and growth can exist in the same space.
Tears and tenacity can walk together.
Pain doesn’t cancel purpose.

My uncle poured into people.
He preached.
He led.
He served.

The best way I know to honor him is to keep building. To keep creating spaces for people to connect. To keep giving opportunities to creatives and business owners. To keep the vision alive.

If you’ve been feeling heavy but still showing up…
If you’ve been grieving but still grinding…
If you’ve been hurting but still hopeful…

I see you.

And we’re going to keep going — together.
