A man and his dogs celebrating the fun of being a KISS Fan. My name is Ric, and my rescue dogs are Strutter (a 4 year old Chiweenie) and Shandi (a 6 year old English Foxhound). This channel was started with my two Great Danes, Large Marge & Pee Wee (often seen in intro's and back catalog videos). My biggest passions in life are DOGS, KISS and NOSTALGIA. Weekly Wax 9/26/25; Music between friends. At times the most important part of Friday night. One friend shows up with a few KISS CD’s. The other with some KISS magazines. You've called the Pizza dude.
The night begins. The music you’ve heard, the magazines, now there is something to dive into. Through conversation, magazine fold outs, and track lists, you hear songs in ways you’ve never heard them before. Others opinions. Others views. New takes on old beliefs. Celebrating the band you love, with the closest people in your life. That’s Wax Night.

WEEKLY WAX 9/19/25. There is a joy to KISS collecting that can never truly be described. Let’s call it ‘the hit’. That, ‘ooooh, 💩’ moment of delight and panic when you find that KISS collectible you’ve always been looking for, or you never knew existed. (Something we all felt yesterday when the NECCA figures were announced. 😂). In the wild, or on the computer screen, it’s that dopamine splash of goodness that keeps us coming back for more. I remember my first moment of fantasy and disbelief like it was yesterday. Just a teenager, never owning, or realizing you ‘could’ own vintage merch, I made a fall afternoon trip down to our local antique hole in the wall, T&T Variety, and walked away with a copy of UNMASKED on vinyl for $7. As I made my way back to my car, I felt a large folded paper inside, and pulled it out from the sleeve, to reveal a cartoon picture of Paul. As I opened more, I revealed more than just the UNMASKED poster, I had received my first hit. At the time, Danny and I had zero clue KISS albums came with merch. Our only access to anything that could be described as KISS ‘merch’ came in collector edition magazines from the Food Barn magazine rack. And for all we knew, the UNMASKED poster, was a prop that was placed on the wall of Paul’s house in KISS EXPOSED, not something anyone could actually own. This was it. We were in the game. That hit, that day may have been the catalyst that I am forever grateful for. So today, as we close out another week, take some time to remember your first hit. Relive that excitement. Give a little thanks for that moment in time, when everything changed for you. Life is magical.

WEEKLY WAX 9/12/25. Not much of a week to Wax. This week has felt like the air has been sucked out of the room. If there is any take away here, it is community. As KISS fans we have to remember, at all times, that we have each other's backs. Whatever you are thinking, feeling, doing, know that you are never alone. You are never facing anything alone. Emotions, trouble, choices, anything. Someone is there to help. To talk. To Wax. To get your mind in a better space. Do something fun every day. Don’t wait for the weekend. Be good to your babies. In the spirit of being an old soul, and an old nerd, I’m playing with the idea of including a weekly newsletter / note with our Wax Night uploads. Some random thoughts, reflections, and memoirs on another week in KISS collecting, loving dogs, and trying to ‘get through this thing called life’. Thank you Prince for that movement of inspiration. We’ll call it, THE WEEKLY WAX. Hope you dig it. More so, here’s to hoping you have a fantastic weekend.
This week, I can’t seem to escape the word 'gratitude’. Over the course of our existence as IAFYD, we have been blessed with meeting some of the coolest KISS fans, from all points on the map. Discussing, celebrating, and sharing the memorabilia of our favorite band, KISS. Not a day goes by that I do not realize how grateful I am for this experience. More so to our point. Don’t forget to feel SAFE with gratitude. Send that KISS care package to a fellow KISS fan, that you’ve always thought of sending. Text that fellow collector you always talk with, and thank them for their time and thoughts. Feel safe to share the incredible KISS scores you never thought you’d achieve. No one is judging you. Judgement is for suckers. We are KISS fans. Let them judge all they want. No one is changing us.
I end this week with heartfelt ‘thanks’ to anyone who tunes into this channel on Friday night. Be it for the dogs, the KISS conversation, or the community itself. Thank you. Thank you for your comments, your stories, your KISS memories. You make my Friday night fun. You bring the Wax, to Wax Night.
Lastly, our buddy Brian was in KC last weekend for a ball game and some record shopping, and we spotted a ROCK AND ROLL OVER in the wild, for the amazingly low price of $130. So, in cases like this, be grateful for EVIL-bay. There is always a better price out there somewhere.

Happy 4th Birthday to the little guy that stole our hearts. We aren’t sure what your first three birthdays were like, but given how we found you, I can’t imagine they were as fun as today. We will consider this your first REAL birthday, as an official Wax Nighter. To the boy with all the toys, happy hamburgers to you and your sister. We love you both to the moon and back.
