Evening/Morning all!!

I have been thinking a lot about this channel. The OG channel where my YouTube run started over 19 years ago.

I am still waiting for Sam become available for the Global Trophy: champion of Champions. Don't worry. It will happen. Just that 2 blokes in their 30s kind of have commitments etc... boring grown up stuff right? We'll get there eventually.

Now, onto something else...

I've been thinking about YuGi-Boomer Returns. It's probably the biggest series on this channel, and we had an awesome 20-episode run. The problem is... I'm probably back to Rookie level again! I still want to learn the game while remaining completely clueless, but editing has ended the series twice now.

So... I have an idea.

The plan would be to stream it once every fortnight, cut out the editing entirely, and upload the VODs here afterwards. You'll get to watch me learn (and probably misplay) in real time, and yes... backseat gaming is encouraged, just don't be a nob about it!

Afternoon all!

Well... today is the day. In a few hours, I will begin my 24 hour charity livestream for The British Skin Foundation. Just having a bit of Dutch courage beforehand as... for some reason... I am feeling very anxious about the stream. Then again, I have felt anxious in general all this week. What a rough week to do this. But we're locked in. No turning back now!

The stream will begin with the pre stream at 18:40 BST with the stream beginning at 19:00 BST.

Thanks to some generous donations, we have now raised £119 for the stream before it's even begun. So I have upped the goal from £150 to £200.

I might as well say this now. IF we hit £200 before the stream ends at 19:00 BST tomorrow. As a treat... or punishment for me. I will play 1 hour of Onside for the PS1... Just a crap game in general, when the timer reaches 0. An extra hour will be added to play a crap game. Oh the hilarity that might happen from a sleep deprived me... and Onside.

WE HAVE LISTENED!!

After the most recent episode of YuGi-Boomer Returns, I asked a question. "Should I open Master Packs when getting back to the rank I was at for the next episode after ranking down at the end of a season?". The answer from you was an overwhelming yes. Thank you to everyone for their input on this question on the most recent episode of the series. So... Here is how we will do it for the next episode and beyond.

I will open HALF of the Master Pack amount that I would be eligible for when it comes to wins while grinding ranks back up (off screen) to the equal tier and 'wins to go to the next rank' when I am ranked down at the end of the season. Half because in higher ranks, that could very well take up a whole video and we would advance too quickly. Gotta appreciate the grind to get to the higher ranks.

As some may have noticed, I uploaded the last episode of YuGi-Boomer Returns 2 days early (A Tuesday instead of a Thursday). This wasn't an error and this isn't the new timeslot for it, it was for this question specifically as I wanted to give more time for people to put their two cents in before I scheduled recording for the new episode. An episode that is processing now and will go up back at the normal timeslot. March 20th.

I hope to see you all there for our first full episode foray into Gold rank.

Afternoon all. Well we are getting very close. We are just 8 days away from the beginning of the 21st Global Trophy. On November 30th, we will begin the 10 week journey to find the 2025 Global Trophy Champion.

We will begin with the Introduction video for the tournament with SamElliott64 on November 30th and then every Saturday in December will be an episode of a Continental Preliminary league.

Then every Saturday in January 2025 will be an episode of the Continental Qualifiers.

And finally, on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. We will have the finals where the 2025 Global Trophy Champion will be crowned.

Happy birthday to the start of my YouTube career! I started the Masterath channel back on June, 4th 2007 so that makes my YouTube moniker and this entire YouTube run for me, 17 years old today.

I didn't expect to get over 10 or 15 to be honest but we're motoring towards being on YouTube for 20 years. Just 3 years to go.

I'd just like to give thanks to everyone for all of the support and watching over the last 17 years on YouTube. I probably wouldn't still be making content if it was getting no traction. The gaming channel ‪@MasterathGaming‬ is looking more than likely to get to 3,000 subscribers sometime in mid 2025 so that's another thing to look forward to.

Happy birthday! 17 years old. Just 1 year until adulthood for a YouTube run.

Global Trophy update.

So, with the 2023 tournament in our rear view mirror, the 2024 tournament begins in December. Me and Sam have been motoring with recording and editing for this, so we don't have the same problem as the Champion of Champions last year.

Also, all of the logos for future tournaments of The Global Trophy up to the 2026 Champion of Champions have been created.
