A little pack march with the lad from AU this morning who's here on "holiday" 😂 . The target was to try and get to the top in 30mins or less. We both failed to meet that timing - but we got the work done. Packs used today - my pack was only 26kg and the Bro who's here from AU for a holiday had the 21kg pack. We were both huffing and puffing our way to the top 😂...I was wondering if he had turned around and was heading back down. Then he appeared 😂 Well done mate! Still a fair bit of work to do yet, but more so for you - as I'm not preparing for selection 😂....Thank goodness lol.

The 92% "Nah yeah" on the poll was loud and clear. 5 of you 😆 are just nosey buggers 😂. At least one was a “yeah nah” (so that one isn’t nosey) and at least one or possibly more was a “don’t care” (So nosey, but not bothered if I don’t say anything either lol😂). That being said - seeing as you took the time to whack in a vote, and most were at least curious - here is the briefing.

SITUATION:
My Wife and I were once again solving the world's problems in our lounge 😂 We looked at how disconnected the world has become when trying to find that special someone to share your life with—we talked about our children and our concerns as parents. The risks, the lawsuits, and the low-integrity of current apps. That conversation flowed into our family, our close friends, and eventually to a wider group of people we may never meet.

I thought - that was a good conversation and went for a run lol. Typical male - my job here is done, we had a good chat and problem solved. Time to go train now lol 😆.

My wife however, “went a little further”. She started looking into how we might be able to fix the issues we talked and heard about from family and friends. By the time I got back she had done a bunch of research and came up with the idea we’re sharing with you now. To make it clear - My wife is the brains and this is her idea. But I told her I’m all in 1000%.

PROBLEM:
The current "dating app" culture is a security and character failure in our opinion. It’s low-integrity, low-barrier to entry, and built to keep you swiping and guessing.

SOLUTION: MAIA (Matching. Adult. Individuals. Automatically. Pronounced Maya, but spelt different, my wife’s idea again… 😊…told you she’s clever). We’ve applied a military mindset from both perspectives (Wife & Husband who both served in the Army) to a different objective.

MISSION:
Give people back their time and privacy! Simple, but not easy.

If this was a Counter-Terrorism task - the mission would be: Rescue the Hostages! Simple to understand, but incredibly difficult to execute.

It can seem like "now probably isn't a good time" or "perhaps I should just wait until things settle down" or "what if people don't like me anymore"...
