Wow I was not expecting this. The Enderlin, North Dakota, tornado, which we chased earlier this June, has been upgraded to an EF5 with estimated peak winds greater than 210 MPH. This breaks the 12-year drought of no EF5s and is the first one I have ever chased. It turns out this tornado toppled a train and picked up one of its tanker cars, tossing it nearly 475.7 ft (145m). The amount of force to do something like that is insane.

There is a ton of uncertainty with soon-to-be Imelda. Yesterday morning, almost all the models had a hurricane making landfall along the Carolina coast; now most of them have Imelda stalling and curving out to sea, and there are two reasons for this.

The first is because Hurricane Humberto, which is currently located about 1000 miles east of Imelda, is overperforming and making a run at Category 5 intensity. Humberto is essentially pulling Imelda, and the stronger Humberto gets, the stronger that pull is. The second is because a trough that is sitting over the East Coast has trended weaker, causing it to have less influence on Imelda. This allows Humberto to have much more influence on Imelda's track.

With most guidance right now showing Imelda not making landfall, I am staying put, but if anything changes, I will be heading down. This is a very challenging forecast.

Preparing to leave tomorrow for what could be our first hurricane intercept of the season, as models are showing Invest 94L making its way toward the East Coast. Right now, there is a ton of uncertainty on intensity, landfall location, or if it will even make landfall in the first place, but regardless, we are getting ready to activate full-blown hurricane chase mode. More updates coming soon.

We will be chasing tomorrow in the OZARKS with strong tornado potential over parts of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. I would not be shocked to see an Enhanced Risk upgrade with this event. There is also a chance we will be chasing today in Nebraska if storms fire early enough.

Also quick update on the ravioli. A new windshield has been installed, and most of the glass has been cleaned out, minus the shard that stabbed me in the thumb. Headlights still haven't arrived yet, but thankfully, they still work. Turn signal is chalked tho.

Excited to get back out there! See you guys soon!

Made it home last night. Currently working on ordering a new windshield and headlights. I wonder if we could still squeeze a few more chases out of this windshield

We are officially back in action for today's chase, going LIVE later this afternoon with all systems on deck, Eli, Charlie, and my dad for this sneaky Nebraska armpit tornado threat. We will also be doing mail time today. See you guys there!

Hey guys, just a quick update!

Severe weather has been pretty quiet the last few days, and that trend looks like it's going to continue for at least the next week. That being said, my attention is on the tropics as we have Major Hurricane Erin churning in the Atlantic. This is expected to miss the US and be a fish storm, but this is definitely a sign of things to come. There is another tropical wave on the heels of Erin, which I am monitoring very closely. Our first hurricane intercept of the year will likely be soon.

In the meantime, I've finally been able to work on my next video, which I'm planning to have done very soon. In total, I have somewhere between 6 and 10 YouTube videos that need to be edited and posted, mostly from this insane tornado season.

Lastly, the Ravioli is getting fixed up this week with a new windshield, headlight assembly, spark plugs, brake job, and other maintenance. She's gonna be as good as new when it's all said and done.

As always, thank you all for your incredible support and generosity! None of this would be possible without you!

See you guys soon!

This past weekend I had a blast finally getting to meet and spend time with Court, Bren (Coffee), and Paige. They really are pillars of this incredible community and further more great friends of mine. Paige and Court even took it upon themselves to clean the inside of the ravioli and Bren changed the front brakes and rotors. I told them no but I had no choice lol. I seriously cannot thank them enough for everything they’ve done for me and this community. I am so blessed to have them. Now I just need to meet Stimpy, Jen, Rose, and Chris!

Also thank you Mason and G man for also helping! I didn’t forget about you guys!

Decided to just head back home today as these next two days now look terrible. This will give me time to replace the windshield, headlight, and get this thing serviced. As always, thank you everyone for all the incredible support. You guys are the best!

No chase today so instead I am driving home, picking up Eli, and blasting back to North Dakota. Tomorrow looks like a big time chase day. We do not stop.
