Happy Sunday everyone!
We just made it back home to Nebraska. Huge shoutout to @BrandonCopicWx for replacing the alternator. We’d still be in Davenport if it wasn’t for him.
Thank you everyone for tuning in and supporting the stream! As always you guys are the best and we could not do this without you!

Good morning everyone!
I will not be chasing today down in Texas and Louisiana. Thankfully, my dad is down there covering the tornado risk, so be sure to tune into his stream later today.
The reason I've not been chasing is that we've been hard at work upgrading our operation so that we'll be able to produce content like never before. Soon there will be no shortage of content.
With that being said, I’m eyeing this weekend for blizzard potential in the Northern Plains. Really hoping we get a chase as we've got a number of things to test out, including brand new internet for the ravioli, which is going to substantially increase our stream quality.
Thank you all for being so patient during this downtime! Soon you'll see why we've been so busy here at the Storm Society HQ. I promise you will not be disappointed.
See you guys soon!

Big news! Storm Society HQ has officially moved to Omaha, Nebraska, as Alex and I have been moving and getting set up over the last few days, and Garrett will be arriving this weekend to create the trifecta. Right now, we're still working on getting internet and the studio setup, but once that is all put into place, we will be a content-creating machine. Stay tuned everyone! We will be back in action shortly!

Alright guys I’ve decided not to chase today as the setup has trended down substantially throughout the day and looks to be completely after dark. Instead it looks like I’ll be making it home around 2 am which isn’t too bad. Thank you everyone for tuning in the last two days! It was great catching up with everyone!

Ladies and gentlemen we are back in action blasting south for potentially three days of chasing starting today along the Red River in Texas and Oklahoma. Our month long chase drought ends today.

Good afternoon, everyone!
I will not be chasing today as the setup has trended into a slopfest with way too many storms and not nearly enough destabilization. If this setup had better thermos we'd have a much more substantial threat on our hands.
In the meantime, I've been working on a few exciting things behind the scenes, including my Enderlin EF5 video, which is going to be insane. Very excited to share that with you guys!
Miss you guys and looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Wow I was not expecting this. The Enderlin, North Dakota, tornado, which we chased earlier this June, has been upgraded to an EF5 with estimated peak winds greater than 210 MPH. This breaks the 12-year drought of no EF5s and is the first one I have ever chased. It turns out this tornado toppled a train and picked up one of its tanker cars, tossing it nearly 475.7 ft (145m). The amount of force to do something like that is insane.

There is a ton of uncertainty with soon-to-be Imelda. Yesterday morning, almost all the models had a hurricane making landfall along the Carolina coast; now most of them have Imelda stalling and curving out to sea, and there are two reasons for this.
The first is because Hurricane Humberto, which is currently located about 1000 miles east of Imelda, is overperforming and making a run at Category 5 intensity. Humberto is essentially pulling Imelda, and the stronger Humberto gets, the stronger that pull is. The second is because a trough that is sitting over the East Coast has trended weaker, causing it to have less influence on Imelda. This allows Humberto to have much more influence on Imelda's track.
With most guidance right now showing Imelda not making landfall, I am staying put, but if anything changes, I will be heading down. This is a very challenging forecast.
