Hi! I'm Andrea and I've lived with Type 1 Diabetes for over 20 years.

I strive to only speak from personal experience and honor my audience by acknowledging that type 1 diabetes is a deeply personal condition. I aim to empower you to find what works best for you, offering examples from my own life as a springboard for you to discover your own solutions. I never want to be the type of creator who pretends to have all the answers. Instead, I speak honestly and from the heart, acknowledging both the physical and emotional burdens of living with this chronic condition. My goal is to support others on their unique journeys, helping people find what truly works for them.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a medical professional of any kind - simply a girl with Type 1 Diabetes! Nothing that I post should be taken as medical advice. Please consult your doctor before making any changes to your treatment plan and seek medical advice if you have any questions about your individual Diabetes management.

Ok! I got some awesome feedback on the Holiday Season Anxiety + Preparations Live idea! YAY! I'm going to do it next Sunday November 23rd. It won't be more than an hour and people can pop in and out as they like. Come with questions and topics you want to discuss - I certainly won't have the answers, but if we can all band together and maybe just getting some of the frustrations or ideas out of our heads we can start the week off strong, and approach the Holiday Season feeling less alone and armed with some crowd-sourced joy and ideas to rock this Holiday Season and enjoy it to the fullest! Please vote below what time you'd prefer. I'm in EST time zone here, so keep that in mind as you vote. I'm so looking forward to this!!!!!

I always get a little nervous during the holiday season because I know the travel + festive food can really do a number on my blood sugars 🥴 I was thinking about doing some kind of live where we can all discuss the upcoming holidays and any tips, tricks, concerns, anxieties we may be having going into the holidays and managing our T1D? What do you think?

I have a long interview with my Mom about ready to drop - it's close to an hour long - would you all prefer that I release it all at once, or split it into two parts?

I just wanted to pop on here and say…I’m alive and a ok!

It’s just…you know how it is…when life gets crazy so does diabetes and then diabetes makes your life even crazier??!!

I’ve been totally slammed with work and life stuff (all good, just a lot!) and have had to slow down on videos for the moment in order to look after my health, but all this will make great content moving forward- I promise!! I’m doing my best to keep up responding to comments and will start posting again ASAP.

Thank you all for your concern and for being so supportive and caring in your messages and comments- I read every single one and have felt the love HUGELY!!! THANK YOU!!! 💙💙💙

Never, ever, EVER in my wildest dreams did I think my YouTube Channel would be able to reach people in such a way that I’d be walking around in Downtown Annapolis and meet the beautiful @calliedraper - a fellow T1D and viewer!!! 🤯😍⁣

Callie was diagnosed during the pandemic which of course presented all the challenges you might expect, (and perhaps many of you experienced as well) including a lack of physically close support from family and friends and remote doctor’s visits. When I expressed just how hard that must have been for her - she immediately told me that, yes, it was hard, but it also gave her time to focus in on what she needed to do and learn! WHAT A POSITIVE SUPERSTAR!!⁣

This one goes out to Callie and everyone here that dealt with a diagnosis during the Pandemic - you are amazing and you INSPIRE ME!!!!⁣

I’m so sorry there won’t be a video this Sunday.

I’ve had some overwhelmingly busy weeks and my levels are definitely suffering as a result (stress, eh!) but I’m working on two very special videos…next Sunday will be my diagnosis story!!

Thank you so much for bearing with me and I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their weekend and that the BG’s are cooperating!!! 💙
