For the past 6 weeks or so I have been having random heart palpitations (my heart has been skipping a beat) causing dizziness & shortness of breath thru out the day. I had an appointment with my Dr on Monday morning and he was going to do a treadmill stress test, got hooked up to the monitors and was waiting for the doctor to come in to start the test. About 5 minutes later I saw my heart rate on the monitor start slowly dropping from 80 to 70 to 60 to 55 when I told my wife I was feeling dizzy, she pulled a chair next to the treadmill and I was able to slump into it as I saw my heart rate drop to 40 before I blacked out. I was out for a minute or 2 before recovering and was sent to the hospital by ambulance where of course they found nothing after 36 hours or so.

My doctor said this could happen again at any time and I thought they ruled out a pacemaker but sometime next week I am to be evaluated for a heart monitor to be implanted into my chest to see if I need a pacemaker. Not sure when this will happen. This is causing me a lot of anxiety, I think due to me actually thinking I was watching myself dying as I watched my heart rate slow on the monitor, I remember thinking that was going to be the last thing I see. I wish I had just blacked out and not seen that.
