Which topic would you like covered first? I am working them all but seeing as you all are my seed subscribers and the first in our community, your input is the most important to me. Without you, I have no community. Let me know 👇
Edit: Video is out! Ok, I have officially no lifed this Antimatter video into final edits. I will be uploading it today. Watching, liking, and commenting genuinely helps us find more physics realism people to join the community. It hurts me to say that because it sounds petty, but unfortunately that really is how the YouTube algorithm works right now. Either way, I hope you all enjoy this one.
I think I am about to run a very good or very bad experiment.
I am noticing some creators build insanely strong communities with less polish and more raw conversation. As a new YouTuber, I think I may have accidentally gone too far into the “produced” direction too early.
So I kinda want to test something more immediate and human. Less scripted. More curiosity-driven. More “thinking out loud.” Not lower effort. Just… more real. I still want this channel to be about physics, the universe, technology, limits, and human ambition. But maybe the discussion itself matters more than perfect presentation. Curious what you all think.
I have a few 10-minute videos in the pipeline already recorded. One is a deep dive on antimatter, and the others are about the reality of building structures outside Earth’s atmosphere.
For those that have watched my videos already, what keeps you more engaged?
When I’m completely dead serious and grounded…
Or when I mix that with some of my natural sarcasm and silliness?
Don't feel afraid to answer. I only have 140 subs so somebody has to be first 😅
Powering The Moon is out now. After this, I will be temporarily pivoting to antimatter before jumping back on the space elevator project. Hope you all like it!
Ok so in After Hours fashion my 2 weeks off isn't coming to fruition. I guess my new style didn't fail as horribly as I thought so there was no need to scrub video 3. In final edits. Should have it out next week!
Hey everyone. I got the newest video out on that beautiful moon of ours. I can't lie, the video is not performing great which is not giving me the best warm and fuzzies right now. I am probably going to take the next couple weeks off to reset. I tried a new style, and I guess it wasn't taken to so well. Thank you guys for all your support so far, I mean it.
Hey everyone. First and foremost, I hit over 100 subscribers. I am truly grateful for you guys willing to take a chance on this physics nerd. My second video in the Artemis Series will be out hopefully by Sunday. It will focus more on Lunar Regolith and what NASA plans to do with this "sharp sand". But as a realist, we will also go over the challenges that don't have complete solutions yet. This one is going to be a good one. Can't wait for you all to see it.
Part 1 of the Artemis Series is out now. I know I haven't talked too much about what this channel is all about so I thought I'd give a quick rundown.
I have a passion for physics and the way things work. I love technological innovation. I also sometimes feel like science fiction and reality get too intertwined. I separate the hype from the reality for a more grounded look at how things work, what we can do given the laws of physics and the limits that actually ground us from (all) of our ambitions. I know I am not the only one in the room who thinks on these things, so I am developing this community for all of us.
Welcome to the After Hours Community. Let's make it great.
