On Saturday, May 31, 2025, Nigeria witnessed a transformative moment as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially commissioned the first phase of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway—a 700km infrastructure project poised to revolutionize transportation, boost tourism, and stimulate economic growth across nine coastal states.
The commissioning ceremony, held at Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, was a grand affair attended by an array of dignitaries, including: Minister of Works, David Nweze Umahi, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Dangote Group, Traditional rulers and members of the National Assembly.
