ASCENDANCE NEWS YEAH BABY - I'll be putting a video out sometime after all the reveals occurring over the next two weeks drop, most likely to be hyper-analyzing all the footage they give us and make predictions about Ascendance's combat loop.
BUT before that I've got another scripted but less serious video talking about something a bit closer to me that I haven't really discussed much at all. Not going to reveal much about it but know that the Monster Hunter franchise has somehow been the catalyst for the most important perspective change in my entire life and saved me from being the kind of person the me of today would despise.
This is literally like two thirds of the pre-script work for the next video, gonna be an absolutely immaculate piece script and structure-wise but gonna take probably another week on the burner.
I've finally met the initial monetization requirements for memberships and donations so I have no clue what to put behind memberships so it's at minimum price for now, maybe I'll put other stuff behind higher tiers in the future but rn its a buck a month.
I'm am alive but content has slowed down because I've been taking the time to get my PC World save as close to my Xbox save through things like MHWI Save Editor before making further World content, which I'm more interested in playing then Wilds right now, although yes I know Road to Mastery is still a thing, it will resume eventually.
Now the main issue is I got through all the story and TU bits on PC, but then when trying to replicate my items and equipment ran into a teensy-weensy-itty-bitty issue: every time I craft or acquire an Insect Glaive, the game DIES. Like just full stop freeze into crash unblockable mix on my sorry ass. To fix the issue I've had to make another save and do it all again, which typing in every individual item, material, deco, and their amounts into save editor is IMMENSELY tedious. If you wanna know why these crashes happen so you can avoid them yourself keep reading, otherwise expect a World stream later this week, working idea is "Can I Kill Alatreon Pre-Escaton before Pissing Myself"
Why the crash happens (at least what I think): - World starts you off with basic versions of all weapons, Iron 1 to be exact, along with the 2 kinsects at the start of their trees. - These 2 kinsects have a special identifier code on them that basically tells the game whenever a new glaive is equipped and it cannot find a previously equipped kinsect, to then put this one on instead. - When selling a kinsect with this code it will transfer to another, order of transferal unknown but also not relevant. - If there is no other kinsect to transfer to the code will be moved elsewhere and placed on the next available kinsect when it appears. - Should an Insect Glaive be equipped while the code is stored off a kinsect the game will check for the code's presence and not have a seizure when it finds it stored. - In the Save Editor I use there is an "Uncraft" option that you can use on anything not equipped or registered in a loadout. - Here's the theory, this uncraft option deletes all code directly creating and linked to that piece of equipment, which is why there would be issues when uncrafting equipped or registered equipment. - This option ends up deleting that little code from earlier, and so whenever I made an Insect Glaive without that code the game would search, not find it on a kinsect or in storage, and then crash. - Spaghetti
good gog world modders are something else. there's more adult mods on nexus than there are wingdrakes cockblocking my clutch claw attempts why are people like this.
well i know the answer to that but still this shit is diabolical, like by all means enjoy the game how you wanna enjoy it, just found it kinda wacky the shear count of freaky mods when i took a random scroll through
no Sakura Chiyono O mod so sticking with the fit from my xbox save anyway.
