Hiddencastle's Lost Media Compendium

To my Hiddencastle family, I'm writing this because I want to give an update for these past 2 months. Given the importance of this situation, this post is open to the public and accessible to all, regardless of membership status.

Since January, a loved one has been navigating a significant health crisis as my partner has been battling intense nerve pain and I've stepped in to take over her responsibilities. In February while taking care of her, my own health took a hit as I've been dealing with a recurring lung issues with painful breathing/coughing leading to vomiting, temporarily lost feeling in my finger tips. I'll be alright, this is not new as I had these issues on and off since 2014, I can handle it, my attention is on my family member making sure she's able to recover well as she is an elder. I have to take care of my own but I'll return with a video to air on March.

Until then, I have a small gift! On Patreon, as a free update that anyone can view, you are all going to get the audio for March's mini documentary feel free to listen to it like a lovely podcast! I'm rather proud of the voice work and audio overall, we got better it only took 10 years haha! I really tried to get as much done as I could before ethe whirlwind of life took over. This is the result of that work.

In this sitatuion especially, I would like everyone, Patrons and non Patrons alike, to have the freedom to listen to what a month's worth of working ill sounds like; doing my best to preserved lost media with the cards life dealt. The Compendium is a passionate project and my life's work, the importance of lost media preservation cannot be understated. This is what we’ve been doing, year after year.

Once health returns, I’d like to start working on the visuals for the mini docu as the bulk of the voice over is completed however I do want to expand it by recording a few pick ups on a few other chapters when we both become healthy, I just need some time once good health returns again.

My apologies for not being able to respond to comments in a timely manner, I read you all and see you, we’ve been on this lost media journey together.

Truly: I miss our routine, I miss the writing the editing, being able to record voice over, the streams and the preservation effort we do together as a team. This Compendium was built on love and only exists because of your presence, every one of you. From the 1 hour specials to the smaller bite sized videos. The love is there, that feeling of love and discovery is all we need during these difficult times. I’m thankful even during times of hardship because I know it will pass. Dark Clouds have silver linings right?
