I'm Lori an over 50 almost empty nester living a midlife with purpose, while trying not to become invisible. I'm a busy working mom who also runs a small business and am preparing for retirement in the next 5 years. I've been cursed with PCOS since being a teen and am now battling with perimenopause as well, lets just say my hormones have been going crazy for years.

I love signing out books from the library, it’s a great way to save money in buying AND nothing beats the smell, the feel, the vibe of the library books. 📚
What’s your preference? For me, I will always choose the hard cover wrapped books, it takes me back to my childhood days. ❤️🫶📚📖

I’m not going to lie, I’m on the struggle bus trying to get back on track and motivated after the holidays. 🍗🍪🥧🍞🫠
Why is it that I know what I need to do, but am ignoring what I need to do. 🤭🫣😂😂😂
The way I see it…. Tomorrow is another day to try and get back on track. So tomorrow it is. 🫣

🧑🎨🎨It’s still a work in progress, but I have been busy painting our living room. I still need to paint the photo frames, get new curtains and also want different lamps, but I like the change so far.
🐾🐾My helpers mostly slept on the job. 🤭
🖼️ I know that the painting doesn’t really match the grey, but I’ve had it since I was 19 and there is a story behind the painting (a story of independence), so I will never give it up.
✨I’ll share that story with you another time.

🐕🦈 My all time favourite was and still is Scooby Doo and I also loved Jabber Jaw.
🇨🇦Here in Canada we also had a show called Mr. Dress Up… not sure if that show was worldwide, but I loved that one too.
