Yes, on certain markets, this is real.
Maruti as you may know is a semi-independent subsidiary of Suzuki Japan.
Then why @Toyota & @ToyotaCanada holding back on bringing the Swift & Jimny to North America as the Starlet/Tercel & Cruiser!?
Sure, @suzukicojpmotor / @suzukicojp would not let anyone taint the Jimny (& Swift) by rebadging them, but money talks....BS walks.
People in North America demands/deserves both of these vehicles in North America!!!
If @ToyotaMotorCorp follows my suggestion, the North American market will be one of the only Countries that will have ALL 3 Jimny variants (Kei, Sierra, 5-Door) in the region!!

Hard to believe that a company like Ford really struggled and/or ignored on building a smaller pickup for the North American market resulting to the (ugly yet) successful Maverick.
While 10 to 20 or even 30 years ago, Ford had the most diverse range of pickup trucks imaginable!
All they need to do is tweak it a bit & build them in the US, but no, Ford didn't do it. Cowards!
