2 years ago as of right now, the biggest outage of Roblox in history started.

this outage would beat the record for the longest outage on Roblox with the duration being 72 hours and 45 minutes, knocking down the 2016 DNS outage that lasted under 60 hours to the second longest.

the outage also reportedly made Roblox lost more than $1.5 billion USD on November 1st 2021.

the outage got so bad that Roblox even closed their website for maintenance, 17 or 18 hours after the outage began, which was the first time since 2019.

some rumors began to pop up of what caused the outage, with some including, the Chipotle event at the time, which users can get a code for a free burrito, while others said it was for inappropriate content, content on their website and bankruptcy.

The real cause was probably that a bug that reached the servers, leading them to crash, sometime before the outage occured.

UPDATE: it seems like gamepasses are working again, so you can go back to your donation games. now there is a chance where the gamepasses may get knocked down again, but time will tell.

hey guys, undeci11ion here. so recently, Roblox has been experiencing some issues that have been affecting pls donate and other donation games.

some of the problems may include the gamepasses not showing up on your booth or trying to buy gamepasses from another person.

trying to buy gamepasses will result in an error that says "Your purchase of {ITEM_NAME} failed because something went wrong.

now, this is expected to be fixed sometime later, but for now it's probably best that you wait before Roblox fixes the issue.
