🏺Some people equate the unnamed woman who annoints Jesus before his crucifixion with Mary Magdalene, and given that she is named, along with Mother Mary, when she goes to his tomb to anoint his body in death, it's not too difficult a leap to make to assume it was indeed Her who anointed him before his death.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In Mark 14:9 Jesus proclaims: "Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But where is this great remembrance of the Woman who anointed Jesus before his death? Where is the remembrance of this sacred art of anointing? And where is the remembrance of the Woman who funded Jesus's ministry, prepared Him for death, shepherded Him through His ordeal and understood His teachings as nobody else could?

All around the world, sisters of the Rose are awakening, in our own unique ways, to bring this remembrance forth, to awaken the heart of the world and restore the Feminine to Her rightful place alongside the Masculine ❤️‍🔥

It was such a blessing to sit in circle at St. Margaret's Chapel and Magdalene almshouses on the eve of Mary Magdalene's feast day and engage in sacred chant, music and readings from the Gospel of Mary Magdalene🌹

Witnessing the ripple her presence on this earth still has, despite the church fathers attempts to silence and discredit her, is truly moving and gives me an immense amount of hope 🕊
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hope for the softening of the heart of humanity, hope for the resurgence of spirituality in the everyday in the west and hope that the divine feminine's true story will be known and honoured once more ❤️‍🔥
