Imole Candid

Welcome to Imole Candid, where we simplify practical information about living, working, studying and building a life in Finland.

By God’s grace we have both lived in Finland for over six years and work in the tech industry. Along the way, we have studied, built careers, navigated immigration, bought a home, and one of us has now become a Finnish citizen.

We share clear, practical information on:

• Jobs, CVs and career opportunities
• Studying, PhD programmes and funding
• Residence permits and immigration
• Starting and running a business
• Personal finance and buying a home
• Everyday life and important decisions in Finland

Our goal is simple: to make information that took us years to learn easier for others to find and understand.

Subscribe and build your Finland journey with us.

A strong motivational letter is not about using big words or repeatedly saying you are passionate.

Average grades do not automatically disqualify you from Finnish universities. Your application may be assessed using several different scoring categories. I explained how the system works here.
