ROCKFISH Games is a 100% independent AA game studio specializing in high-quality Unreal Engine 5 space action video games for PC and consoles, currently creating new content for EVERSPACE 2. We are dedicated to crafting compelling next-gen single-player open-world space shooter experiences driven by quality storytelling while being highly accessible and deep in gameplay mechanics.
Industry veterans Michael Schade and Christian Lohr founded ROCKFISH Games to create a new breed of adrenalin-filled adventures for space shooter fans through their acclaimed EVERSPACE™ IP. After spending over 30 years as joint entrepreneurs in the 3D graphics and mobile gaming space, Schade and Lohr built ROCKFISH Games from the ground up alongside a small team of veteran developers to the current studio of 25 cherry-picked developers and community experts from across the industry.

PILOTS, WHAT'S YOUR PREFERRED DISPLAY SETUP IN A SPACE COMBAT VIDEO GAME?
EVERSPACE 2 is a fast-paced, single-player spaceship shooter with deep exploration in space and on planets, tons of loot, RPG elements, mining, and crafting. Experience a thoughtful story, set in a vivid, handcrafted open world full of secrets, puzzles, and perils. Play in 1st or 3rd person or cockpit view and control your vessel with mouse & keyboard, gamepad, or a HOTAS / HOSAS joystick from Logitech or Thrustmaster. If you prefer a more classic flight sim experience, you can disable inertia dampeners on the fly and cut engines to drift like in Freelancer or Star Wars.

TECH SURVEY FOR SUPER NERDS: 3D space combat games are mostly CPU-bound due to complex flying physics and collision detection in combination with many NPCs and even more weapon projectiles flying around kilometers to centimeters away from you, pushing your PC's math capabilities to its limits, literally.
Typical tricks (e.g. frustum/gate culling) to optimize performance in open-world games are also not viable due to "open space"...
With that in mind, who is your preferred CPU manufacturer?
