It has been 3 years since I stopped gray blending with highlights and fully embracing my natural hair. I share my story because I looked for other women when I first started this process for inspiration and encouragement, and It helped me so much to see other women embracing their silver hair, being unapologetic and looking beautiful. I hope that my posts and videos will help someone else out there wanting to grow their silver crown. This path isn’t for everyone and that’s completely ok! But it was for me!

When I look back on this photo from 2019 I feel sad for my younger self. I went through so much heartache. I walked through the fire, I worked through so much sadness, betrayal, and woke up to so many truths that broke my heart. Yet I dove deep into myself, I allowed myself to feel the anger, the despair and the pain. I worked so hard to love myself despite everything I had been told to hate. My gray hair journey was the icing on the cake of my healing. The symbol of my becoming whole. 🦋

Thinking of the people and animals affected by the wildfires. These photos were taken several years ago at Glacier Park after a wild fire had gone through the area. They make me think of the hope and rebirth that will come when the fires are over. Wishing everyone strength and safety in the days ahead.
