Patreon has just rolled out a new update designed to make creator pages less hellish to navigate.
We've used this to have a bit of a tidy up, but most importantly of all, to properly showcase the companion videos we've made for our documentaries over the years.
This includes some of my absolute favourite Patreon bits we've ever done, including the time we toured a farmer's trade show in Birmingham, ventured through VRChat in 2022, received a letter from the actual Queen of England, or played an Escape Room while the room's staff watched us on CCTV and gave live commentary.
More info on the Patreon itself, but in short, all of our best supporter-only videos from the last seven years are now all in one place.
Since we published our Disco Elysium follow-up, both Argo and Dora have now publicly responded to ZA/UM's statements about them in the documentary, which they strongly reject and describe as defamatory.
If you live near Baltimore, Chris is going to be at the Enoch Pratt Free Library next month interviewing Jake Solomon (of XCOM and Midnight Suns fame) about what it's like trying to launch a new video games studio amidst... all of this.
It's free to attend and there'll be a bunch of cool indie games to play as well. And according to the event page, free boba!
If you watched PMG's video on Palestine last year, you'll know about Rasheed Abueideh and his story.
He's a Palestinian game dev, living in the West Bank, and experiencing the horror of a genocide many of us can only witness through a screen halfway around the world.
In that video, from over a year ago now, Rasheed spoke about his plans to tell the story of the 1948 Nakba ('The Catastophe') through his next project.
Unfortunately, no publisher has dared touch a game that looks to tell Palestine's own history in this way.
So it's up to all of us instead!
Today, Rasheed and his team are announcing Dreams on a Pillow and are looking to crowdfund its development.
Let's show them how much we all have their back, yeah?
Did you know People Make Games has a podcast about GAMES JOURNALISM?! It's been going for a few years now and in our latest episode, Chris interviews Quinns about his bizarre career making videos on the Internet and the work we do together at PMG. Search "The Games Press" on whatever podcast thing you use. It's fun!
What do you mean they don't send out another plaque until one million subscribers? ONE MILLION?! It's taken us nearly six years to get this many. YouTube, please.
If you're from the UK, care about video games and hate the Tories, you might be interested in this! Chris is going to be part of an event in London called Games Transformed. There's talks and workshops and a gam jam that begins in *checks watch* just TWO DAYS time.

Thanks to @The41stPrecinct for having me on his show to talk about our Disco work over the years. This was a lot of fun.

And they brought a lot of screenshots too...
