A few months ago, I uploaded a video titled "Taking A Break" to announce two things: I would be on a break for the foreseeable future and why I had to delete a recent video . Now, with a few months having passed and still on hiatus, I would like to explain in more detail what's been going on! Personal post kinda, sorry if this breaks the immersion of a youtubers being real people lol

In March I moved out from the space I was renting. This wasn't a planned or expected move, i just decided I had to leave a toxic living environment. When things were bad, they were horrible and it became too much to handle. My decision to leave was decided since January and planned for sometime in July. However, one day things became abusive, and it took less than 24 hours for me to move everything I owned across state into a private storage container. I decided living out of a car was safer than living in that space. Please do not ask me for more information — this is as much as I am willing to share publicly! Thankfully I was blessed with good RNG at birth with a family who is allowing me to use excess closet space to setup some equipment and park safely in the driveway! If there's one thing this whole experience has taught me it's that while I do enjoy spending free time online, I enjoy time in the real world just as much ... which is such a backwards and chronically online thing to admit!!! But everything is alright, and given time Ol' Laqster will be back with new content! (started work on a 100 days hardcore video to explore different avenues ... I'm liking it so far!)

Secondly, said announcement video never should have been posted. The need to explain why the original "Shadowblade" video was taken down in an a follow up announcement video is such a early 2010's youtuber thing to do! I'm still getting used to modern youtube creator culture haha. In hindsight, it's foolish that wasn't announced in a community post or explained in a future video. I'd like to chop it up to my emotional state being pretty unstable, but that would be shifting responsibility over regrets. The decision to upload an announcement was purely an emotional response to being told the last planned video before the hiatus had to be taken down. By that point I had no idea when the next time I would have access to a computer to manage videos would be. After the video was posted the Owner of Hoplite, SpeedSilver — the legend himself — messaged me with permission to reupload the video (despite the fact i technically broke a rule by uploading a test game!) Though it performed incredibly well when first uploaded, it FLOPPED on the reupload... and that also upset me. There is shame over how much this effected me, but on the flip side it's shown that one video isn't going to make or break a channel, and it especially doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Being totally honest, the last couple of uploads got pretty lazy due to wanting as many videos out as soon as possible... it's not substance I want to be known for. I'm grateful for all of Hoplite! But I don't want to be "Laqqy, the hoplite person" anymore. With a little bit more effort I have more to offer... but that doesn't mean I WON'T upload any more hoplite or anything! Because like, c'mon, I love hoplite! (even when i rage at it <3)

Won't yap your ears off anymore, videos will come eventually ❤️
