Hi I'm Miranda 🙂 I have M.E (myalgic encephalomyelitis) and have been bedridden since 2010.

I collect sounds and I have YouTube ambience videos playing all day at my bedside. They give me a window to other worlds, real and virtual. I am deeply appreciative of all the great talent here on YouTube and the people who work so hard to put these videos together. My playlist collection has got me through some very low, lonely and desperate moments whilst being confined to bed 24 hours a day. Well done to all uploaders 👏

The videos I make are mainly about my illness, & also about what keeps me motivated. It now includes Flosstube videos for cross stitchers! 😀 I hope my videos are of use to someone, I appreciate every viewing and read every comment. I'll reply if I can 🙂

Please wash your hands (properly!) I'm bedridden and I've been made severely ill this year by infection. It took me 3 and a half months to get over norovirus, and now I have flu. I've had to go back to using a bedpan, you have no idea how devastating that is. Every infection I get adds to my years in bed (14 and counting). Please be aware of spreading germs.

It's Severe M.E Awareness Day. M.E stands for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. It's a condition that causes the sufferer to have extreme intolerance to movement and any stimuli. It has over 100 symptoms listed. Here Nigel gives his experience.

I have been bedridden for 14 years with M.E. Any attempts to get out of bed causes me extreme pain, fatigue, nausea, dizziness, malaise. I am very sensitive to light, sound, smell and movement. I have to spend my days laying down and resting. I cannot watch TV, read books or have visitors.

There is no treatment and no cure. M.E can also kill.
