Amateur photographer based in Atlantic Canada with a passion for all things nature and outdoors. The goal of this channel is to document my progress as a photographer. If I go out with the intention of making images and film myself doing so it will be shared regardless of the outcome, because it is important to me to accurately depict the ups and downs associated with photography both for myself and others.

One year ago, I set out with the goal of making photography related videos (ultimately encouraging myself to make more images) and I am happy to share that I successfully achieved that goal🎉. My photography has improved exponentially over the last year, and I have gained more confidence and competency in other forms of digital media.
While I would not change anything about the last 365 days, I am unable to maintain the one video a week schedule. I love making these videos and it has been manageable, however, I do it simply as a personal project and I need to temporarily reassess my priorities. Primarily, I need to focus on work and writing my thesis. The faster I get my thesis written the more flexibility I will have to make images and videos.
Going forwards, I still plan on publishing videos but on no set schedule to alleviate any pressure associated with deadlines but will publish them on the same day of the week… let’s say Wednesday. As time goes on, I hope to be able to increase the frequency of videos. While there may be a noticeable lack of videos on YouTube over the next little while, I will continue to be active on Instagram (instagram.com/timothy.poirier) as it requires substantially less time to create posts, and I have a backlog of images and Reels to share. I also want to create an active Facebook page where I share some of my favorite images I have made and the stories behind them. There will be no video today or next week!
