2. Casing – The casing houses the impeller and creates a pressure boundary for the fluid being pumped. It’s typically volute-shaped, which helps to increase the fluid pressure as it exits the impeller.


3. Shaft – This connects the impeller to the motor, transferring mechanical energy from the motor to the impeller, allowing it to rotate.


4. Shaft Seal – To prevent fluid from leaking along the shaft, the shaft seal (mechanical seal or gland packing) is used. It’s crucial for maintaining pump efficiency and avoiding leakage.
