New video dropping tonight at 8 PM. 🚨 🚨

Ontario’s recent IMG eligibility rule, and the court injunction that paused it has created a lot of questions, especially for those preparing for the 2025 CaRMS match.

I’ve been getting messages nonstop, so even while travelling, I wanted to break down what the rule actually says, who it affects, the timing of the announcement, and what the injunction means for IMGs moving forward.

🎉 We hit 1,000 subscribers! 🙌

Thank you to everyone who’s watched, liked, commented, and shared.

When I started this channel, my goal was simple: to make the residency journey a little clearer for international medical graduates because I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be.

The positive feedback, thoughtful questions, and encouragement from this community have been incredible. I’m truly grateful.

🚀 This is just the beginning. More quality, practical, and honest videos are on the way — covering everything from the residency match journey and life during residency.

Let’s keep building a space where IMGs can learn, plan, and support each other.

Thank you for being part of this.

One attempt. One score. No do-overs.

A common misconception among international medical graduates (IMGs) preparing for the MCCQE1 is that you can retake the exam to improve your score — but that’s not the case.

Once you pass, your score is locked in.

For IMGs competing in a highly selective match process, that first attempt really matters.

In this video, I share key strategies about how to score high on your MCCQE1 examination.

🖥 MCCQE1 Quick Tip – Remote Testing Available

You DON'T have to be in Canada to write the MCCQE1.

The exam can be taken remotely via online proctoring, or in person at a Prometric testing centre.

This is a game-changer for IMGs who aren’t in Canada yet but want to stay on track with their exam timeline.

Make sure your testing setup meets MCC requirements before booking.

📚 MCCQE1 Study Strategy Tip

Many IMGs get stuck in “study mode” — reading notes endlessly and avoiding questions.

Here’s what worked for me:
✅ Stage 1: Build knowledge with UWorld (tutor mode)
✅ Stage 2: Solidify with timed, mixed Qs + review weak topics
✅ Stage 3: Simulate with MCC practice exams + CanadaQBank for ethics

The real learning happens when you review your mistakes. Don’t just study — practice actively.

📍 Full breakdown of how I scored 270+ on the MCCQE 1 now live on my channel!

💡 MCCQE1 Quick Tip

Did you know the Clinical Decision-Making (CDM) section is no longer part of the MCCQE 1?

The exam is now fully multiple choice — 230 questions over ~6 hours, with an optional 45-min break.

Whether you’re writing from Canada or abroad (yes, remote testing is allowed), your first attempt counts — **because if you pass, you can’t retake to improve your score**

🎥 I cover everything you need to know — and how to score high on MCCQE part 1 (270+) — in my latest video
