The amount of digital circus fans that have told me "i just don't get it" in response to my criticisms of the new episode is actually crazy. I'm not 6 years old. I get it, I just don't like the execution.
Saying that I don't get something because I don't like the execution would be like "well that was intentional" if I say that I don't like sandpaper toilet paper. Just because something is done intentionally, does not make it good
Maybe some people like it and that's fine, but I don't

I'm actually so sick of these white knights for disabled people. They're so annoying. I'M disabled. I have a serious neurological condition. I experience waking seizures among other things. You can make fun of it. It's funny. My family has teased me about my condition when I was actively going through an episode and it made me laugh and made me feel like a person again.
There's nothing that annoys me more than people saying that you can't make fun of certain groups of people or certain physical characteristics. It makes people associate them with buzzkill karens that ruin everyone's fun, then they won't take us seriously when we need certain accommodations. "Well you overreact about jokes so you're probably exaggerating how disabled you actually are." You getting pressed on behalf of disabled people about harmless jokes is actually far more damaging than even the most meanspirited mockery.
The thing that most disabled people want more than anything is just to be treated like a normal person. We don't like being coddled or babied or treated like delicate flowers that can't handle perfectly normal parts of the human experience. Getting offended on our behalf does just that, it infantilizes us. We don't like it. Part of the human experience is being teased and teasing people back. Do not deny us this experience because it makes YOU uncomfortable.
