Since I’m in the mood to do this for spreading the word as a muslim, I want to clear up a few misconceptions on islam.

Some people say that Islam oppresses women, by any forms of patriarchy in every context possible. They say some shariah based laws treat females unequally when it comes to legal action. It’s a myth in fact. In some countries by culture, women face restrictions in dress,education, and overall public life, and it’s ALWAYS justified by the religious interpretations. Did we all forget Prophet Muhammad consulted women??? He allowed them to pray in mosques AND engage in commerce and education, considering the fact that he had 12 WIVES

Then there’s the one about the terrorists. “IsiS mEmBeRs wErE mUsLiMs”. Well, I think they’re fake Muslims, because THEY BLATANTLY IGNORE THE QURAN. One of the surahs, surah (49:13) says, "O Mankind. We created you from a single pair of a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes that you may know each other. Verily the most honored of you in the sight of God is the most righteous of you." Bro, Islam allows collaboration with people of different faiths, cultures and races. Isis on the other hand (and other extremist gangs) use these verses of the Qur'an to victimise themselves. They even ignored surah (5:32) which says, "If anyone kills a person, it is as if he kills all mankind while if anyone saves a life it is as if he saves the lives of all mankind." And surah (2:256)"There shall be no compulsion in religion." Isis leaders recruit young men who are desperate and broke, They lack meaning in life and no knowledge of the religion that they claim to represent. The leaders deliberately misinterpret the verses in the Qur'an and pass this information off to the new STUPID members of Isis

And there’s the most aggravating one “islam is intolerant of other faiths”. There’s two types of Muslims: the moderate muslim and the Islamist. Moderate Muslims (like me) seek an inclusive and peaceful faith and they reject extremist violence, balancing religious values with modern life. Islamists on the other hand……….they take islam as a political ideology, promoting an exclusive vision of islam ,and justifying political action, (including violence) in order to achieve it. Also, the bible and the Torah have a similar connection with the Quran, considering the fact that Jesus is PROPHET ISA (AS). Even the country that I live in celebrates Christmas for the Christians. MY MUSIC TEACHER IS A CHRISTIAN. And I don’t mind at all, because people have their own beliefs and all we’ve got to do is respect them. I honestly wish that the world could be more inclusive and joyous together.
