Huge lineup of fights tomorrow — this card has the potential to be one of the best all the way through the end of 2025.

There are plenty of great matchups, including rising star Abdullah Mason getting his first shot at a world title against Sam Noakes.

For me, the most competitive fight is Norman Jr. vs. Haney. The sheer threat of a knockout alone makes this one captivating from start to finish.

Which matchups are you all most excited to see?

Ortiz vs. Lubin

Lubin is a very skilled southpaw & has good power. While he is best when the fight is fought on the outside, at a more controlled pace, these are the 3 thing to pay attention to:

▫️Defensice vulnerability on the inside
▫️Durability in exchanges
▫️Ability to handle pacing

This weekend’s clash between Vergil Ortiz Jr. and Erickson Lubin promises to be another thrilling stylistic showdown — the ruthless pressure puncher versus the skilled southpaw boxer-puncher.

Ortiz continues to face dangerous opposition despite still chasing his first world title opportunity, while for Lubin, this bout could represent his final chance to re-enter the title picture.

Lubin has showcased poise and precision in his power punching, but the question remains: can he withstand Ortiz’s relentless pressure and punishing hands?

Will we witness a stunning upset, or will Lubin once again falter under the bright lights?

It’s been a while since I’ve done a full film study, but I’m diving back in with a sleeper matchup on the Jake Paul vs. Tank Davis undercard — Gary Antuanne Russell vs. Andy Hiraoka.

This one’s fascinating… an explosive pressure boxer puncher squaring off against a rangy, sniping counterpuncher.

What makes it even more intriguing is that southpaw vs. southpaw matches are among the rarest in boxing — most lefties face only 1 or 2 southpaws in their entire careers. Yet, both Russell and Hiraoka have fought three southpaws in their last four bouts.

I love matchups like this because they often hinge on one key question — who can control distance more effectively?

For this breakdown, I’m doing something a little different — a deep, technical analysis of both fighters’ tendencies, adjustments, and how their styles might collide on fight night.

I was not expecting the Parker vs. Wardley fight to be that damn thrilling!

Incredible chin from both guys.

Stoppage was too early IMHO.

But granted, Parker should’ve threw something back or tied up.

Watching the replay, there were few punches from Wardley that actually stuck after rocking Parker. If the fight weren’t stopped & Parker survived the storm, Wardley would’ve been gassed.

How did you all score the Mbilli vs. Martinez fight?

I understand that CompuBox numbers don’t determine the outcome of a fight, but the punch stats were pretty staggering. Martinez landed 412 of 980 total punches, while Mbilli connected on 273 of 787.

What really stands out is the way the judges scored certain rounds. One gave Mbilli the 7th, another the 9th, and one the 10th. Yet according to CompuBox, Martinez outlanded Mbilli by 18 punches in the 7th, and in both the 9th and 10th rounds Martinez more than doubled Mbilli’s landed punches—connecting at over 50% accuracy.

I’ll be the first to admit I favored Canelo too much on his size.

This victory just changed the dynamic of match making for this generation.

There’s no more excuses.

Bud Crawford is the greatest boxer of this era.

Canelo vs. Crawford

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s to trust my first instinct when it comes to picking fights. From the moment I heard talk of a potential matchup between Canelo and Crawford, my gut told me the size difference would be too much.

Crawford has only fought once at 154 and now he’s jumping up 14 pounds to challenge Canelo at one of his most natural and comfortable weights.

Is Crawford the more fundamentally sound fighter? Absolutely. But let’s not act like Canelo doesn’t have elite boxing skills of his own.

Stylistically, Canelo’s size, power, and iron chin make him the natural bully in this fight. If he were more of a pure boxer, I’d lean toward Crawford.

My biggest question is how much hunger Canelo still has at this stage of his career. That, to me, is the X-factor.

Still, when it’s all said and done…

Canelo by decision.

With so many boxing breakdown channels emerging, it’s only right that smaller channels like mine find a creative lane of our own.

That’s why I’m starting a new series called “DEVELOPMENT.”

Too often we only focus on the final product, but in this series I’ll be tracking emerging contenders & champions, highlighting what they change or fix from fight to fight.

We’ll kick things off with a Cuban contender in the light heavyweight division… stay tuned.
