I have Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) pretty bad and rather frequently this can take my entire functionality as a living organism offline. Sometimes for a month or longer. November was such a month.

I am now on new medicine that seems to be working. My brain is coming back online, but my emotional calibration is all over the board. I'm taking time to reorganize things that were neglected in the interim before finishing the SH2 analysis video.

I have about 2 hours of finished edits with about 2 more to go. The first two hours took an exceptional amount of work due to choices I made in presenting SH2 in the best possible light. The final two hours are expected to be simpler and are roughly blocked out with vocals trimmed already.

The holidays are now among us and I'm taking the time to recenter. Meanwhile, I have outlined several shorter video topics that I hope to do before finally tackling one of my favorite games of all time, SILENT HILL 3.

Thanks everyone for your patience as I figure all this stuff out. There is no doubt the video will be finished soon. I'll do my best to keep you all in the loop.

I've missed my deadline...
But I learned something that I've been fighting against for a long time now.

I don't work well on a schedule.

Having passed the date, I feel oddly relieved and much less pressured which is causing work to come easier. I did my best with a stricter organization style and it didn't work. Lesson learned and moving on.

You may as well assume that I'll be operating on an "it's done when it's done" basis from now on, though I suppose for you that won't be experientially much different. I want these videos to be watchable for a long time after release so I want no wasted time and no half baked concepts. It needn't be perfect, but it must withstand time.

SH2 writhes like an oiled serpent from my mental grasp and nailing it down has proven to be far more difficult than SH1 or even as much as I anticipate SH3 and SH4 will be. It's part of what makes SH2 so much more compelling than the others in the series for most people (even if not my personal favorite.) It's a complex beast.

I anticipate future videos to be faster, but I can't promise speed. I've learned that I shouldn't. "Slow is smooth and smooth is fast."

We're almost there. Let's finish this.

Almost done...
I'm aiming to release the SH2 analysis video on October 30th.
HOWEVER...!
I may not make this goal. I'm doing everything I can to do it and I am on track.
I hope that releasing a SH2 post-Halloween is acceptable if it comes to that.

I'm in the thick of editing the SH2 video and the goal is still October.
However, I am experience my usual bouts of chronic fatigue.

Please pray for me, or well-wish, send positive vibes, or whatever.
