Just created 4 issues on the GitHub repo of the Unity plugin I use for Video Recording in a Face Tracking AR app (my Unity Asset).
Recording works, but these are the kinds of improvements I’m looking for.
This is why all kinds of bug reports (even those not directly related to the code) are important. They help deliver high-quality software and maintain a consistent development environment.
Be honest 👇 How many bug reports do you submit per week?
PS: Check the links in the comments or on the channel page for all assets mentioned in the post.
I paid $39 for GitHub Copilot Pro+ mainly to use the Spark builder. I tested it for an entire day and had a very disappointing experience in Google Chrome:
1. Code Editor lags. While typing, it randomly removes characters.
2. Periodically, it takes a very long time to load - even when YouTube works perfectly fine.
3. For the last hour, I couldn't use it at all. It keeps showing "Failed to submit prompt: Error: API request failed with status 400" for every request.
Reloading doesn't help. When I opened Safari, it said that using Safari is not recommended.
4. Even simple requests fail. For example:
“Previously, you expanded the explanation text area, but only slightly. The text should fill the area of the nested container.”
It fails over and over again using descriptions with different words . Fortunately, I have CSS knowledge and could fix the issues by removing the applied classes.

What is Spark?
It’s a no-code AI Helper that can build Web Apps using React + TypeScript (it generates code, but the main idea is to avoid writing it manually).
I hadn't worked with this stack before, but I was curious to try it.
Not today 😅 I'll continue making apps with the Unity Web Platform 👍
Why do you need to become a Unity Publisher? You probably don't:
1. Making Games / Apps / Tools:
Unity assets are just another form of game development: just accept it.
You will likely receive much less feedback from users than in Classic Game Dev, and this can be depressing.
Even when purchases happen, I can receive zero reviews for months. Almost every review you see (on screenshots) was received after handling a support request and then asking for a review.
2. GEO-Independence:
If you don’t like “going” to work, at some point you won’t be able to stay at home.
Movement (or “going”) is life.
Publishing is all about self-organization, discipline, physical activity, and time management. This is not a fairy tale.
3. Own Business:
You're an indie and a one-person band — every payout must be processed, taxes must be paid, products should diversify risk, negative reviews must be handled, and your psyche must be resilient (do sports, take vitamins), etc.
Marketing work takes up half of your working day — it took several hours to create this post.
4. Happiness:
Yes — if you are a passionate developer, No — if you just want to make money.
5. Revenue Share: 70% (before taxes).
The Unity Asset Store is not FAB with its 88%, but Unity Developers don't use FAB every day. The main traffic source is UAS, as my experience shows.
6. Do you still want to Create an Asset?
You are free to decide what to do — and what not to do — for the sake of the result. Only you can decide whether the points above are disadvantages or advantages.
P.S. In the screenshots, you can see all my reviews from the new version of the Publisher Portal, but there are many others that are not displayed here (2015–2022) and can only be seen on the asset pages.

I get great ideas from clients while providing support and reading reviews. Full Text:
"Using this template, I've cut months of work and honestly, it feels like it saved me years.
The mask parameters (the buttons at the bottom) are generated at runtime from the button template, which is very convenient.
I also love how the tools (sliders, colors, text) are dynamically bound to the mask when a parameter is selected. So tools are reused as well: no duplicates.
There's a robust system in the code that allows for deep customization of parameters, including their order and icons.
I suspect the system is designed so that in the future it will be possible to add other masks and switch between them, but this has not yet been implemented. If so, I wish you success with this kind of update.
Great architecture!"
So, what Dynamic Masks could be added in future updates?
Dynamic is better than static: the user can customize it.

Traffic Degradation on Unity Discussions — 2025 vs 2026 — AI affects human communication:
I recall that in 2024 there were around 30K active users, based on the “active users in the last 7 days” stat.
2025: 17K
2026: 10K
It’s definitely faster to ask AI, but AI uses Unity Discussions to generate those answers...
Where do you usually hang out as a Unity developer, and why?
I am focusing here and on LinkedIn as well: www.linkedin.com/in/andreysirota/

There is a pretty new mechanic
on the Unity Asset Store:
sharing free product every new day.
Open in Unity (*) ⭐

This is the strong answer to FAB that provides 3 Top Assets for free every 2 weeks.
I know that FAB pays up to $5000 to Developers for such a showcase (wrote earlier here), but what about UAS?
If it is not paid, it may help increase views of the publisher's other products, but who knows...
What do you think about it?
Is it useful for you if you’re just a Game Developer getting free stuff?
