The Anxious Therapist: Swan Song

Swan Song:

I’m Gill Evans — a 71‑year‑old retired Counselling Psychologist AFBPsS, writer and lifelong explorer of the anxious mind.
People often think of a swan song as a final act, but for me, it feels more like a beginning. After decades of helping others one‑to‑one, I’m ready to reach further, speak louder, and connect with a wider community than my books and social media have allowed so far.

I’ve spent a lifetime understanding anxiety — my own, and the many stories entrusted to me through my work. Now, in this new chapter, I want to share that wisdom more openly. This is an exciting time for me. I’m spreading my wings, stepping into the future, and hoping to create the most meaningful work of my life.

If you’d like to see what I’m doing at the moment, you can visit my website, Anxioustherapist.com.
And if you’re someone who worries, overthinks, or simply wants to understand yourself with more compassion, I’m glad you’re here. Let’s walk this part of the journey together.

The Anxious Therapist: Swan Song

This channel is a calm, compassionate space where we explore the science of being human — the nervous system, emotional healing, anxiety, and the experiences we often carry alone. Through gentle, psychology informed videos, I break down how emotions work in the body, and how our physiology is always trying to protect us.
If you’re looking for soft, grounded explanations that help you understand yourself rather than judge yourself, you’re in the right place.
I’m Gill Evans, The Anxious Therapist — blending lived experience with counselling psychology to help you feel seen, soothed, and supported. Anxioustherapist.com
