Sugar House is a Tokyo-based rock band formed in 2019. Blending post-punk, alternative rock, and indie rock, they create a sharp and modern sound that balances dark energy with melodic clarity. They released their first music video “Control” in 2020, followed by the double single Normal04 / Dry and their first EP Surface in 2021, which shaped their early direction. In 2022, the single So Bad introduced synths and autotune, signaling a new creative shift and earning playlist support in Japan and abroad. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2024, blends their post-punk roots with richer synth-driven textures. Featuring the standout track “I WANT IT,” the album strengthened their identity as they continue to expand their presence with a growing live setup.
