Big thanks to one of our awesome subscribers for a generous donation! We’re still about $700 short of being able to install a camera like the one in Truckee with that incredible zoom. In the meantime, we’ll be setting up a camera with a similar view to the image below—it used to be the one in Tehachapi. It won’t have much zoom (just a 2x digital), but it’s still a PTZ, so it can move and track action. Thanks again to everyone supporting this project—I’m hoping to get it installed by late May or early June!

Before, and after the install of the new Truckee cam. I am still a few hundred dollars away from having enough to purchase the camera for Donner Summit, which I hope to install in June or July. If anybody would like to donate, I would greatly appreciate it.
