1. Me in the cabin holding one of the gorgeous books that was made as an Easter egg 2. Where Ned, Harry and I wrote serial idealist and 5 other songs that made the album!!! This song was written on a rainy day overlooking the lake and my god it was just the perfect setting so ofc I was inspired by it (hence the bridge) 3. Us shooting the cover art/ album cover!!! 4. the run sheet the day before we shot it and I was SO excited 5. I thought Kirstie was going in for a hug after she chopped the wood but nope HAHAHA 6. I did my hair and makeup!!! With the help from @ashlienorris.hmua for touch ups 7. One of the green screens we did for miss luck outside! 8. Me painting in the spell book 9. My little manifesting/ spell circle in the cabin 10. the amount of dandelions I had to try and get and keep safe was HORRIFFIC. I never thought a simple weed would be so hard to find and take care of. I literally flew these to Melbourne with me as they're so hard to find if it rains bahahah 11. Trying to get the near kiss looking NICE AND SPICYYYY 12. We had to cross this river wearing no shoes and the stream was about to knock us over and ruin everything but somehow we managed to do it. V proud. 13. We pulled over on a busy highway on the way to the music vid in Melbourne cause we saw DANDELIONS 14. Ned Harry and I are just very good at freestyling and I think it's Grammy worthy 15. This song was written with the incredible @nedhoustonmusic and @harrycharleshatesmusic down south in an Airbnb overlooking a lake, after I was sure I’d already finished the album. Turns out I wasn’t done yet as this might just be one of my favourite songs yet ✨
If you know my music, you know I have a habit of falling for the complicated ones, the bad ideas, the beautiful messes, the situations that probably won’t work… and trying anyway. I’m always believing I can turn something hard into something good… loving something into becoming what I’d dreamed it to be.
It hit me that the word I’d been searching for all along was Serial Idealist. A little hopeful, a little delusional, endlessly convinced that this time it might be different.
This music video was inspired by the bridge of the song and I couldn’t thank Outro and the rest of the crew/ team more for making every single thing come to life that I’d hoped for. I wanted to have a little bit of magic and manifesting happen In the video as I really do believe in that, and that’s how our little character “Miss Luck” aka: mini me, came to life. (Fun fact: We we’re gonna have a guy In the music video as well as I’m queeerrrrr and wanted to show the different sides of the the type of life I’ve manifested before, but long story short, he pulled out <3)
I hope this song and music video makes you feel heard on your ounce of craziness we all have, but also sexy af as I know we’re all a bit delusional in life, we have to be. And we have to do what we can to make life fun and pretty and manifest everything that we can.

Serial Idealist BTSSSS ✨
