➕I hope everyone is out enjoying some springtime riding. I’ve even gotten a little riding in on my own bikes, which is rare!
➕Most of my time has been devoted to filming a six-way budget ADV comparison test. I got together the CFMOTO Ibex 450, Kawasaki KLE500, KTM 390 Adventure R, Honda NX500, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and the Kawasaki KLR650. All these bikes cost between $6500 to $7500 US, have between 40 to 50 HP, and are all A2 compliant (minus the KLR). Stay tuned for that video! This might be the hottest segment in motorcycling right now.
➕This week I’m headed to Utah to take a 2-day training class from the one and only Chris Birch, and next week I’m attending the BDR fundraiser in Big Bear, California. Busy times!

This weekend! BMW MOA rally in Mountain Center, CA, very close to my house! I have no affiliation with the event, but want to pass along to my fellow riders who may want to attend. Prices are super reasonable, unlike some rallies. All makes and models welcome, you don't need a BMW to attend. I'll see you there! #motorcycle #adventurebike #BMWMotorrad

Thanks Kawasaki for getting me the new KLE500 SE for testing! My first impressions are positive, but let's see how things go once I have ridden it for a month. What would you like me to cover in the review? #advbike #dualsport #motorcycle

You asked for this one! Thank you @betausa for dropping off the 2026 Alp 4.0 for testing. The Alp 4.0 is a small ADV (we used to call them dual sports) that competes with bikes like the Honda CRF300L Rally, Royal Enfield Himalayan, and KTM 390 Enduro and Adventure.
The Alp - while new to the USA - has been around in some countries for decades, and it used a Suzuki DR350 motor. While it's still mostly built in Italy, the new 350cc liquid cooled engine (35 HP) is now built in China (a trend we are seeing more of each year).
The 4.0 comes with 21/18 wheels, while there is a more urban friendly X version that comes with a 19/17 wheelset. They both weigh in around 330 lb (150 kg).
MSRP is $6,790 for 2026. Stay tuned for the full review! Questions? Drop them below.

Which bike below is most interesting to you in terms of a 6-month test and build series? (yes, I am reviewing the KLE500 very soon, but I'd rather not buy it). If none of these interest you, please write in your answer below. Thanks!

I've been reviewing touring motorcycles since 2018 on YouTube, and have owned plenty of them since I began riding bikes in 2001. However, last week was the first time I got to spend quality seat time on Harley-Davidson's fully-optioned tourers, in this case the 2026 Road Glide Limited and Street Glide Limited.
My personal preference in touring bikes has always leaned on the lighter, sportier side (FJR, RT, Concours, Tracer, Goldwing, and many different full-size ADV machines). However... my job is to review bikes now, so I put my preconceived notions aside, and gave these big American machines a chance.
Here's a few stand-out positives:
➕Overall fit and finish, paint quality, and attention to detail was impressive
➕The Skyline infotainment system (TFT dash) is the BEST in the business, by far
➕The riding position was extremely comfortable (which surprised me)
➕The luggage is spacious and easy to get in and out of.
➕They felt surprisingly agile and quick to turn (at speed anyway)
➕Cruising at high speeds is butter-smooth and stable
Some negatives that stood out to me:
➕You feel the weight (900+ lb or 400+ kg) at very low speeds
➕Not having a reverse gear, or adaptive cruise control, seems like a miss on a $33,000 bike
➕I felt some significant engine heat on my legs at lower speeds in traffic (engine is air cooled, but with water cooled cylinder heads).
➕The pushrod, long-stroke, VVT Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine has great low end torque, but 106 horsepower still seems low for a 1917cc engine (bigger than many car engines).
People buy H-D's because they like the style, the feel, the sound, and the heritage. Not because of the spec sheet. Full review video coming soon, it's a long one and I really go in-depth!

Day 1 of the press ride for the 2026 Harley-Davidson Road Glide and Street Glide Limiteds (base price $32,999 USD). These are Harley's fully loaded touring bikes meant for the open road. For 2026, they've got more power (now using the Milwaukee-Eight 117 VVT engine), more features, more safety tech, revised cooling and aero, and more.
Having never tested H-D touring models before, I'm excited (and overdue) to give you the lowdown on these machines as I ride from South Carolina down to Florida, and offer real world comparisons with bikes like the Honda Goldwing, BMW K1600 and others.
Stay tuned! Chime in below if you're an owner of an H-D touring bike. What model do you have, and have you been happy with it?

You've probably seen it by now, but Yamaha has officially announced the Tenere 700 World Raid is (finally!) coming to the USA for the 2026 model year. Available starting in May, MSRP is $12,999 ($2,000 more than the standard bike), and you can have it in red/white or black.
What does the extra $2,000 get you?
💥Better suspension: longer travel +20mm, and larger diameter forks.
💥 Cruise Control
💥Twin fuel tanks, increased capacity to 6.1 gal or 23L.
💥An adjustable steering damper
💥A six axis IMU for cornering TC, ABS, adjustable slide control
These additions add an extra 26 lb or 12 kg, for a wet weight of 485 lb or 220 kg.
My take? I think this addresses many of the shortcomings of the base model, and $2,000 seems like a bargain to get all these upgrades. I can't wait to test it.
But, what do you all think? Drop your thoughts below!

2 New reviews coming soon. The Zero DSR/X and the Moto Morini X-Cape 1200. But before that, don't worry, the Kove 800 Rally review will be posted. I'm off early in the AM, flying to South Carolina to ride a brand new H-D Road Glide Limited down to Florida. Stay tuned!
