Growing In Christ
There is a quiet peacefulness in humility; yet it speaks louder than words
Psalm 131 NKJV "LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes (desires) lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters. Nor with things too profound for me. Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul. Like a weaned child with his mother, Like a weaned child is my soul within me. O Israel hope in the LORD from this time forth and forever."
David was 21 years old when he wrote this. King Saul had accused him of being disloyal (1st Samuel 18 and chapter 22:8).
Saul wanted David dead. Though David could have killed Saul, he would not have vengeance on God's anointed king. He ordered his men to stand down.
Later, David no longer humble, had Uriah killed so he could have Uriah's wife Bathsheba. As a result David was humbled by the death of the son born from adultery.
David eventually became broken and contrite in his heart and spirit. He confesses his sin to God, and enters into repentance. We read it in Psalms 51.
God has ways of humbling us if we become prideful.
2nd Corinthians 12:7 "And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
Humility is an act of loving respect.
Let's practice humility.
In closing, consider this: Galatians 6:3 "For if a man thinketh himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself."
Thank you for your time.

Bible Time
There's an old fable that says, One day Satan was auctioning his tools. There was one tool marked Not For Sale. He was selling hatred, fear, envy, and lust. There was one tool, well worn by itself. Someone asked, Why is that not for sale? Satan replied, That's my most valuable tool. I can't afford to sell it. It is discourage ment. It is so worn because I use it on Christians. When I pry open their hearts with discouragement, I can do whatever I want.

We all get discouraged at times, though not always an attack from Satan. Many times it is our own reaction to disappointments.
What can we do to overcome discouragement?
1st Samuel 30:6 "David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his son's and for his daughters: But David encouraged himself in the LORD his God."
How do we encourage ourselves in the LORD our God?
Get away from stresses, for a while.
Even for just a few minutes, and praise the Lord.
Pray, asking our Triune God (they work together), ask to be delivered from what is got us down.
When Paul and Silas were in jail, they sang praises to God. Soon, they were delivered and a man and his family were born again (Acts 16:22-30.
The word of God is full of encouragement. For example: The power of praying aligned in the name of Jesus. Praying with the trustworthy, spiritually mature in Jesus name. Whenever 2 or more gather in His name, He is in the midst. Seek others whose gift is exhortation. They are encouragers.
Are we wearing our Armor of God? Attack discouragement with our sword: God's word.
Read it daily.
Ask the Holy Spirit to lead us to encouraging scriptures, in there is encouragement in the LORD.
Be a blessing to someone who needs to be encouraged.
1st Thessalonians 5:11 "Wherefore comfort yourselves
" together", and edify one another, even as also ye do."
Hebrews 3:13 "But exhort one another daily, while it is called today, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin."Consider 10:24 "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works."
Hebrews 15:2 "Let everyone of us please his neighbor for his good to edification."
Allow this message from the Word, relieve us of discouragement.
Thank you for your time.

Romans 10:13 "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
2nd Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, BUT THAT ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE."
Here is my short answer for the belief that God predestined some people to hell:
If He did, then, the fact that He is not a respecter of persons isn't true.
Then, He is not just. He would not be love. Then grace, mercy, and forgiveness are not for everyone.
What has been predestined is His will. Sending His Son Jesus Christ to save us all was predestined.
Every one is given the opportunity to choose or reject salvation by grace!
Make sure the doctrine we choose is accurate (Acts 17:10-11).
