Since there are a lot of new folks: hello and welcome! This channel started out as a way for me to share homework and resources with my students and an unbelievable amount of people joined, so thank you all so much for being here and supporting music education. As a heads-up, I will be making videos like this Sherma polyrhythms in the future, but they take me a long time to edit. In the meantime, we will be back to our regularly scheduled mix of piano, ear training, and random requests by students on Monday :)
Works in Progress (schedule updates are in the channel description):
• Playlists for piano syllabi: https://youtu.be/SiRBMAxubxw
• Playlist listings: www.ylanchu.com/pianosyllabusproject
• Sight reading: currently writing new books - videos should be resuming in the new year on Tuesdays
• Recording piano pieces in the syllabi that are missing reference tracks
• Piano arrangements (including more Silksong - posted on Thurs/Fri, whenever I can)
• ...and a few secret projects...
Other videos to check out:
• Books I used in music school (beginner to doctorate): https://youtu.be/cJNb7lyX9HU
• How perfect pitch works in my brain: https://youtu.be/S1cvYIgV2CY
• Music theory zine: https://youtu.be/mUSc3k4z9qM
• Pianos & Music Notes in Video Games: https://youtu.be/z2mtJdRDibI

I had a wonderful time performing Liszt's "Un sospiro" for the short film "Giselle" by @minac949 (kanicomics on ig). This hauntingly beautiful animation is an adaptation of the tragic ballet _Giselle_, where "our titular character wakes up dead, with no memories of her life or death." If you have a moment to watch it, please go congratulate Mina! - @YlanChu

My third album is out now! The digital album is available for purchase at these sites if you would like to support:
• Bandcamp: ylanchu.bandcamp.com/
• Ko-fi: ko-fi.com/s/b1e9d13ba6
It will also be available on streaming platforms soon.
If you would like to listen to the whole album on YouTube, it is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRotH... (or on my music channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHNqW... )
This recording holds both sentimental value and archival purpose. The selections were among my favourites growing up, from the very first piece I performed in a recital to works that were on the next page of what I should have been practicing. It was recorded on my first instrument, an over one hundred year old upright piano from the Dominion Piano & Organ Company of Canada, purchased secondhand when I was 3.5 years old. It is the instrument I first learned these works on.
Track 18 is a narration and the rest of the programme notes (along with links to my first two albums) are on my site: www.ylanchu.com/albums
I have some projects to complete by the end of year, so videos will resume in January. Thank you so much for your support and hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season. Thanks all!

Had the pleasure of doing the voiceover for this beautiful animated short film "Eclipse" by @minac949 (kanicomics on ig). If you have a moment to watch it, please go congratulate Mina!
