Nkrumah Street is humble — and that’s why it’s perfect.
It reflects the man: brilliant, peaceful, but surrounded by storms.

He told us, “Africa must unite.”

But as history too often shows, prophets are not always welcomed at home.

Still, we do not forget.

We re-honour.

Marcus Garvey Avenue - a 50-foot-wide lifeline running from Prampram’s historic 1212
Junction straight to the heart of Oman.

To those who truly know, Garvey was not just a
man -

He was a prophet of our race.

A divine signal sent from Jamaica to remind us: we are a mighty people, not a scattered shadow.

He saw repatriation not as a dream, but a duty.

He didn’t wait for permission - he bought ships, raised flags, and told us plainly: “Africa for the Africans.”

He taught us to organise, to dignify ourselves through work, pride, and land.

This road was renamed in 2020 - the very foundation of our community.

It powered our first transformer.

It held our first ceremonies.

And to this day, it leads our people home.

This is not a sales pitch.

This is a scripture in tarmac.

This is the road of a prophet.

And prophets must be honoured.

Return, Reclaim, Rebuild.

His message didn’t just inspire the faithful; it moved even the indifferent—those who had long sat on the fence—to step into the arena and face the realities of our time. For many, the protest is their contribution to the struggle. While we see things differently in terms of what true solidarity demands, we salute every person who showed up to make their voice heard for sovereignty and self-determination.
