THE STANDARD SHOULD BE CONSISTENT.

People are pushing #BTSD1sband over RM and j-hope attending Chris Brown’s concert, but if association with a controversial artist is enough to demand that BTS d1sband, then that standard cannot disappear when it involves other Western artists. Justin Bieber has publicly supported Chris Brown, while Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj have collaborated with him, and Kanye West has worked with him as well. Yet their careers weren't reduced to those associations or met with demands for their entire groups/careers to end.

This doesn't mean BTS should be above criticism. It means BTS should not be held to a completely different standard. If attending a concert or collaborating with someone is treated as endorsement, apply that logic consistently. If it isn't automatically endorsement for other artists, it isn't automatically endorsement for BTS either.

Criticize them if you believe they made a mistake but #BTSD1sband is a disproportionate demand, especially when the same standard isn't consistently applied elsewhere.

Accountability should be consistent, not selective.
