10 yrs ago today: I was living in Pawtucket when one of umteen different snowstorms hit. It snowed EVERYDAY for 3 months & was so cold the pipes in ALL the old mills kept freezing...

I am feeling a little nostalgic or, maybe, just running thru some warm memories of people & places that made me feel safe & a couple of memories of two songs popped up today - my dad singing the one song he knew "Don't fence me in" & Jimmy Stewart performing the intro to "Ragtime Cowboy Joe" on the Tonight Show for Johnny Carson. Two songs about living without constraints. 

I can't find Jimmy's Tonight Show rendition but I did find other recordings of both songs:
