This Sunday, October 5th at 3:00 PM EST, Patriot Relief will break ground on something truly special: a new home for the Eggers family, whose lives were forever changed in just fifteen seconds by Hurricane Helene.
✨ A Story of Survival and Faith
On September 27, 2024, Chad and Brittany Eggers watched their home in Newland, NC, collapse as a catastrophic landslide tore through their property.
In moments, they lost nearly everything—
Their brand-new home
Their vehicles
Their beloved dog, Thor
Their sense of safety
But through a miracle, they did not lose their lives.
Hudson (7) was swept into Chad’s excavator and found safe.
Addison (13) was away at a friend’s house.
Chad and Brittany survived the debris.
Today, they carry trauma, grief, and a $190,000 loan for a home that no longer exists—yet their faith and resilience remain unshaken.
