MAY PEN CHURCH OF GOD

The annual Regional Women's Convention hosted by the Church of God In Jamaica Region 4 Women's Ministry was Holy Ghost filled, a great time of refreshing and was indeed a blessing for everyone who attended face to face or viewed online.

This event was held at May Pen Church of God on Sunday, January 25, 2026 under the theme: "Women Empowered for the Harvest: Fulfilling God's Mandate. Guest Speaker for the morning session was Rev. Sandradean Moore of the Santa Cruz Holiness Christian Church. Rev. Moore delivered a soul searching and Spirit-filled word which blessed our hearts tremendously.

MAY PEN CHURCH OF GOD

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM MPCOG HOST PASTOR AND WIFE

Brothers, sisters and friends of the May Pen Church of God, season’s greetings to you all. Praise be to the Almighty God who has allowed us to experience another yuletide season. It is with a deep feeling of gratitude to God that we greet you. We are grateful that He has once again spared us to see another season like this, and from the onslaught of a dangerous category five hurricane.

This season, according to our customs, is to celebrate β€œEmmanuel” (meaning β€œGod with us”). β€œFor to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)

We must thank God that amidst the chaos, we have felt His presence. As a result, this year our mission was practical and far reaching, and has been satisfying and fulfilling. Resulting from hurricane Melissa, our clarion call for mission became a united and collective vision. The church sprung into a purpose-driven mission, united and resolved as a force ignited by the Holy Spirit. It was involuntary for those who moved with the flow as well as voluntary together with our collective response by all membership of our church. We took the initiative to reach out and shared with those who needed hope and joy because of their unwarranted suffering across the western half of our country.

Looking back, we want to thank God for His blessings which came in many ways. His provisions and providential care are too numerous. We are truly grateful to God for new members who have been added to the church by ways of baptism and through transferal to our membership.

At this time, Deacon Marjorie Lewis and I are appreciative of members, and express our sincere thanks for your kind support to us throughout the year. Your act of service has brought joy into our lives and to many others in those communities we visited. Amongst ourselves, let us continue to be meaning makers, let us continue to be equipped with the capacity guided by the Holy Spirit to serve and let others smile, and to give a ray of hope to those dispossessed.

Romans 15:13: β€œMay the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

To everyone, we wish you health, joy, peace, and hope this season and always.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes.

From: Rev. Michael L. Lewis and Deacon Marjorie Lewis
